Body languages are one of? the ways we use to communicate with other people. Body languages help us communicate without speaking.
But the meanings of body languages are different in different parts of the world. For example, in many places, when people move their head up and down. They want to say “Yes”, but in Greece, moving head up and down means “No”. How do you express “OK” without speaking? Americans will make a circle with the thumb (拇指) and the forefinger (食指) of one hand. But in Singapore, Russia, and some South American countries, it is very rude to do this. In France, it means “worthless”, and in China it means “money”. It seems we can still have trouble in speaking, even when we don't open our mouths!
