英語閱讀中的信息加工
——以牛津高中英語M3U1 Reading fog為例

一、問題提出的背景

高中英語課程著重提高學(xué)生用英語獲取信息、處理信息的能力，但是在高中英語閱讀課堂中，有些教師沒有好好研讀文本，僅憑自身教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)對文本進(jìn)行“大刀闊斧”的“肢解性”教學(xué)，粗糙地處理與加工文本信息。這樣的英語閱讀教學(xué)會導(dǎo)致很多問題-教學(xué)偏離文本主線；學(xué)生提取信息不準(zhǔn)確；提取的信息不知道如何運(yùn)用，等等。因此，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生有效閱讀，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在閱讀中有效提取和整合信息的能力成了英語閱讀課堂教學(xué)的一項(xiàng)重要任務(wù)。

二、對英語閱讀中信息加工的理解

英語閱讀中的信息處理可以分為三個層次，即字面理解（Literal comprehension）、推論理解（Evaluable comprehension）、評鑒理解（Critical comprehension），信息加工以“立足文章，提取表層信息”和“策略引導(dǎo)，推進(jìn)深層加工”的思路開展。

三、典型課例設(shè)計與反思

【教學(xué)過程】

Step 1創(chuàng)設(shè)情境，感受主題

Let’s sense the world of the blind？What do you feel？How could the blind man help others？

通過親身感受盲人的世界，提高學(xué)生閱讀文本的興趣，引入文章的主題。

Step 2提取字面信息，整合文本內(nèi)容（字面理解）

1．Basic elements of this story

▲a plot _______________________

▲main character a woman and a man

▲a certain（特定的）time period one afternoon

▲ a place a foggy（有霧的）city

▲a problem to be solved How she should get home？

▲a climax or a surprise ending_______________________________

我對文本多處進(jìn)行信息點(diǎn)提取、整合，整理除了故事發(fā)生的各個要素。

Step 3猜測詞義和句義，挖掘文本之內(nèi)涵（推論理解）

Para1（outside Polly’s working place）（Group2）

1．mist means____________________A．a(chǎn) thin fog B．a(chǎn) thick fog（underline reason in the story）

2．From “she left early and she wondered”we can infer she was__________about if the bus would still be running．A．worried B．unworried

Step 4探究事件與觀點(diǎn)，評價人物的性格（評鑒理解）

總之，在平時的英語教學(xué)中教師要注重對信息的加工，對文本進(jìn)行深層次分析努力提高學(xué)生的英語閱讀水平。
