Abstract: Wang Furen is the representative figure in the research on Lu Xun during the last 40 years. His wonderful interpretation ofCryandHesitationfrom the perspective of “ideological revolution” has opened a new period of study on Lu Xun. His research involves many fields of modern and contemporary Chinese ideological culture and modern literature, of which the study on Lu Xun characterized by ideological enlightenment is undoubtedly the cornerstone and main melody. He is the most diligent thinker and theorist on Lu Xun and modern literature with his thoughts and theories refined in his inner feelings and life experiences, which always keeps a close relationship with the real social life.His research is characterized with a broad field of vision, and he is good at generalizations, being eloquent and brave to put forward innovative concepts.
