隨著教育形式的不斷變化,在教學(xué)中若依舊使用過去填鴨式、灌輸式的傳統(tǒng)教學(xué)模式,會(huì)讓學(xué)生體會(huì)不到學(xué)習(xí)英語的樂趣,致使課堂的有效性不高。只有根據(jù)學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況創(chuàng)新教學(xué)模式,讓學(xué)生喜歡上英語課并樂在其中,才會(huì)提高課堂的教學(xué)效率,達(dá)到事半功倍的效果。筆者就提高英語課堂教學(xué)的有效性,總結(jié)了以下幾點(diǎn)實(shí)施策略。
學(xué)習(xí)英語的最終目的不僅是向?qū)W生傳授英語的理論知識(shí),更重要的是提升學(xué)生的英語靈活運(yùn)用能力。而在英語課堂教學(xué)中結(jié)合教材與學(xué)生的日常生活進(jìn)行情境創(chuàng)設(shè),既可以加深學(xué)生對(duì)所學(xué)知識(shí)的記憶和理解,提升教學(xué)質(zhì)量和課堂有效性,也是有效實(shí)現(xiàn)這一目的的重要因素。例如,筆者在對(duì)學(xué)生進(jìn)行贈(zèng)送禮物和購物的英語教學(xué)時(shí),為學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)了如下情境:
T:Hello,everyone!First of all,what’s your favorite holiday of the year?
S1:My favorite holiday is National Day.
S2:My favorite holiday is the Spring Festival.
S3:I like Dragon Boat Festival best.
...
T:I hear many students say they like the Spring Festival.Next,now we can imagine if the Spring Festival is coming soon.What would you like to prepare for the Spring Festival?And what gifts would you like to give to your family or friends?
通過筆者與學(xué)生的交流,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)入筆者所創(chuàng)設(shè)的情境后,留給學(xué)生想象和討論的時(shí)間。一段時(shí)間后,筆者和學(xué)生在情境中進(jìn)行了如下的交流:
T:The Spring Festival is coming in a few days.What kind of New Year goods would you like to prepare?
S1:I want to buy couplets and some paper-cuts to decorate the room.
T:Where are you going to buy these things?
S1:There is a pedestrian street near my home.There are many couplets and papercuts on the street before the Spring Festival every year.I’ll just buy it from there.
T:That’s a good idea.In addition,during the Spring Festival,we will send gifts to show our appreciation for him during the year.And who do you want to give for the Spring Festival?
S2:I want to send a gift to my mother.
T:Why do you want to give mom a gift?And what are you going to give?
S2:Because the mother works in this year while also has to manage the housework,is very hard.So I want to give my mother a scarf so that she can feel warm.
T:Really a very filial student.I believe that everyone in the class is kind and sensible.Next,we will learn about this lesson.After learning it,we will write down who we want to give the gift to,why and how to prepare the gift.
春節(jié)是每個(gè)學(xué)生都會(huì)經(jīng)歷和感興趣的,利用春節(jié)結(jié)合教材內(nèi)容創(chuàng)設(shè)情境可以激起學(xué)生想要表達(dá)的欲望,讓他們?cè)诒磉_(dá)中鍛煉英語的口語表達(dá)能力,從而增強(qiáng)學(xué)生對(duì)英語學(xué)習(xí)的自信心以便其更好地投入到英語課堂上來,使課堂教學(xué)行之有效。
教師在實(shí)際的英語教學(xué)中往往會(huì)面臨著這樣一個(gè)難題,因班額較大很難兼顧到全班學(xué)生而使得大部分學(xué)生無法得到英語實(shí)踐的機(jī)會(huì)。要克服此難題需要教師將小組合作合理地運(yùn)用到英語課堂教學(xué)上,即根據(jù)學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況組成合作小組,在課堂上師生、生生之間一起協(xié)作,共同討論,激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)熱情,在讓學(xué)生得到更多英語實(shí)踐機(jī)會(huì)的同時(shí)提升課堂教學(xué)的有效性。以下是讓小組合作進(jìn)行的調(diào)查活動(dòng):
筆者先根據(jù)學(xué)生的實(shí)際英語情況,對(duì)學(xué)生進(jìn)行了合理的分組。之后以小組為單位,讓學(xué)生合作調(diào)查組內(nèi)的成員喜歡和討厭的食物,小組調(diào)查的過程如下:
S1:Hello classmates,what food do you like?
S2:I like apples.Do you like apples?
S1:I hate apples,I like oranges.What food do you hate?
S2:I hate bananas.
S3:Me too.I like hamburgers.What food do you like?
S4:I like chicken.It’s healthy.I don’t like carrots.What about you?
S5:I hate carrots.I like fish.My favorite food is fish.
在合作調(diào)查中組內(nèi)學(xué)生互相提問討論,使彼此的英語口語得以實(shí)踐和有所提升。實(shí)踐證明,在初中英語課堂教學(xué)中合理引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)行小組合作,更有利于學(xué)生對(duì)知識(shí)的掌握理解與實(shí)際運(yùn)用,并且讓學(xué)生參與其中成為學(xué)習(xí)探究的主導(dǎo)者,在提高學(xué)生合作能力的同時(shí)增強(qiáng)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)積極性,以此提高課堂教學(xué)的效率。
如果學(xué)生的英語能力沒有收獲或者進(jìn)步,那教師再辛苦也只是在做無用功。要想培養(yǎng)和發(fā)展學(xué)生的英語能力,需要教師在課上有限的時(shí)間里提高教學(xué)質(zhì)量,以取得有效的課堂教學(xué)效果,為學(xué)生以后更加高難度的英語學(xué)習(xí)打好堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。
