      讓《新概念英語》走進(jìn)英語課堂

      關(guān)鍵詞:技巧題目概念

      《新概念英語》每一課根據(jù)中國讀者的需要,增添了詞匯表、課文注釋、課文的參考譯文、摘要寫作、練習(xí)(包含一篇仿寫訓(xùn)練)等,并配上了全新的練習(xí)和插圖,內(nèi)容也更加簡潔精煉。

      下面以我在初一(1)班進(jìn)行《新概念英語》第二冊Lesson 1 “A private conversation”閱讀課為例進(jìn)行說明。

      1. Warming up(5 minutes)

      我用多媒體投影一幅電影院的圖片,讓學(xué)生猜這是什么建筑物。(小組競賽,答對加分)學(xué)生爭著給出的答案是:meeting-room,a big hall,cinema,theatre.當(dāng)我給出答案后,得分的學(xué)生非常開心。接著,我給學(xué)生30秒讓他們記憶上面詞匯。

      然后向?qū)W生提出導(dǎo)向性問題:1)Have you ever been to Xinhua Theatre in Huadu? 2)What can you see in the theatre?學(xué)生們給出各種各樣的答案,最后我著重強(qiáng)調(diào)其中一個句子:There are a lot seats in it.

      接著又給出一個問題:What are the seats like?學(xué)生回答:beautiful,soft,stand in lines. 我再引導(dǎo)他們得出一些完整的句子:There are a lot soft seats in lines at the theatre. The seats are close together. If someone are talking,the other people wont hear the actors clearly.

      2. Quick reading and finish

      (1) Did the writer have a good time in the theatre? Why? (2 minutes)

      (2) Match the words with the Chinese meaning.(2 minutes)

      3. While reading(6 minutes)

      讓學(xué)生略讀(skimming)后回答以下問題:(1)Where did the writer go last week?(2)Did he enjoy the play or not?(3)Who was sitting behind him?(4)Were they talking loudly or quietly?(5)Could the writer hear the actors or not?(6)Did he turn round or not?(7)What did he say?(8)What did the young man say?

      5分鐘后,我馬上檢查學(xué)生的閱讀情況并進(jìn)行閱讀技巧的點(diǎn)撥:快速閱讀要注意題目和首、尾句。閱讀回答問題后,我讓學(xué)生把這8道題目的答案串連起來,有什么新的發(fā)現(xiàn)?“We are retelling the story.”我又進(jìn)行縮寫文章方法的點(diǎn)撥:善于抓住幾個特殊疑問詞來陳述: who,when,where,what,how,why.

      接著出示下一項(xiàng)練習(xí):Fill in the blanks (5 minutes):

      (1)I had a good seat at the

      t last week.

      (2)The play was very I.

      (3)A young man and A young woman were talking l.

      (4)I could not b it.

      (5)Its none of your b,this is a private c!

      4. Post-reading(10minutes)

      (1)Listen to the tape,find some wonderful sentences.

      (2)Complete the dialogue.(拓展性練習(xí))

      Situation: Your theatre ticket is P14 (Row P,Seat 14). A stranger is sitting in your seat by mistake. His ticket is Q14. Write the missing parts of the dialogue.

      You:

      Stranger: Yes,it is.

      Ask if he may see his ticket:

      Stranger: Certainly.

      Tell him what his ticket is:

      Tell him what your ticket is:

      Tell him this is your seat:

      Stranger: Oh,Im sorry. I should be in the seat behind.

      Say its all right:

      Stranger: Ill go there at once.

      Thank him warmly:

      當(dāng)學(xué)生掌握一定的閱讀技巧后,我把閱讀推向另一個高潮,給出另外一篇文章,要求學(xué)生Free reading(teamwork)(15 minutes).Task1:Find out new words,wonderful sentences.(2 minutes) Task 2:One of groups report what they have read(Free talk). (8 minutes)同學(xué)們馬上小組合作,分享閱讀帶來的樂趣。

      通過這樣的閱讀方式,我對初一(1)班進(jìn)行了一個學(xué)期的訓(xùn)練,學(xué)生的閱讀量達(dá)到38篇,詞匯量增加了,不僅提高了閱讀能力、寫作水平、對語言的綜合運(yùn)用能力,關(guān)鍵是培養(yǎng)了閱讀技巧,并形成了閱讀習(xí)慣。
