Little Rabbit is on the way home.

Suddenly， he sees a bird.

Little Rabbit waits and waits.

But no big birds come.

Little Rabbit takes the bird home.

“Oh， what a poor baby！” says Father Rabbit.

They make a nest（巢） for the bird.

Little Rabbit learns to feed（喂養(yǎng)）? the bird.

He looks after the bird carefully（小心地） .

“It’s hard work，” says Mother Rabbit.

“I love it，” says Little Rabbit.

The bird grows up day and day.

“It’s my pet bird，” says Little Rabbit.

“It’s not a pet，” says Father Rabbit.

The bird flutters（拍打）? its wings.

“Your bird is trying to fly，” says Mother Rabbit.

“No！ It mustn’t fly！” cries Little Rabbit.

Little Rabbit makes a cage（籠子）? for the bird.

He puts the bird into the cage.

“I love my bird，” says Little Rabbit.

But the bird is very sad.

“Let’s go for a walk，” says Father Rabbit.

They come to the top of a hill.

Little Rabbit looks down.

He feels the wind.

“Oh！ I’m flying！” shouts Little Rabbit.

“Just enjoy it，” says Father Rabbit.

“As if（好像）? you were a bird.”

Little Rabbit goes home.

He looks at his bird.

The bird is in its cage.

It looks so sad.

“I love you， bird，” says Little Rabbit.

Little Rabbit opens the door of the cage.

He lets his bird fly away.

Then he cries.

Later， Little Rabbit goes into the forest.

He sees his bird flying free（自由地飛翔）? in the sky.

Little Rabbit is glad.

“It’s true love，” says Little Rabbit.
