Austrian company Tec-Innovation recently unveiled[推出] smart shoes that use ultrasonic sensors to help people suffering from blindness or vision impairment to detect obstacles[障礙物] up to four meters away. Known as InnoMake， the smart shoe aims to become an alternative to the decades-old walking stick that millions of people around the world depend on to get around as safely as possible. China's population will stay above 1.4 billion “for a certain period in future”， said Ning Jizhe， head of the National Bureau of Statistics （NBS）， at a press conference on May 11th. “China's population will peak[達到峰值] in future， but there remains uncertainty as to when specifically it will happen，” Ning said. All Nippon Airways Co. will start offering wedding ceremonies in May aboard planes grounded due to the plunge in air travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the new service， couples can hold their wedding ceremonies aboard Boeing 777-300ER jets normally used for international flights that are not currently in operation. Up to 30 people can attend a ceremony. The usual in-flight meals are not part of the service.
