昨天晚上，母親最喜歡的小狗被一輛車撞死了，這件事讓母親非常傷心。然而，車主后面的行為卻讓“我”感動了。

Last night， one of our three family dogs was hit and killed by a car in front of my mothers house. The three 1. became more or less my mothers surrogate children after her human children grew up and moved out.
