一、教學(xué)背景分析
1.教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析。
本節(jié)課是本單元的第一課時(shí),也是本單元的導(dǎo)入課,主要學(xué)習(xí)一些野生動(dòng)物,并且了解這些野生動(dòng)物習(xí)性和外貌等,并讓學(xué)生談?wù)撍麄冏钕矏?ài)的動(dòng)物及其原因,從而加深對(duì)動(dòng)物的熱愛(ài),埃迪和霍波的對(duì)話部分主要讓學(xué)生知道許多野生動(dòng)物正瀕臨人類(lèi)的殺戮或滅絕,從而讓學(xué)生樹(shù)立保護(hù)野生動(dòng)物的觀念,為本單元的學(xué)習(xí)打下伏筆。
2.學(xué)生情況分析。
學(xué)生經(jīng)過(guò)初中一年的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí),英語(yǔ)也有一定的基礎(chǔ),而且對(duì)動(dòng)物這個(gè)話題也是很熟悉了,所以這節(jié)課應(yīng)該對(duì)他們來(lái)說(shuō)難度不大,本節(jié)課中的談?wù)撍麄冏钕矚g的動(dòng)物及原因,學(xué)生應(yīng)該有話可說(shuō),難度大點(diǎn)的地方可能是讓他們談?wù)揅an people eat wild animals?可能需要老師讓學(xué)生提前組織語(yǔ)言,做好準(zhǔn)備。
3.設(shè)計(jì)理念。
本課注重師生活動(dòng)的創(chuàng)設(shè),通過(guò)播放視頻、猜謎游戲,小組活動(dòng)等情景教學(xué)推動(dòng)師生互動(dòng)課堂環(huán)境,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生消除語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)和表達(dá)的恐懼,鼓勵(lì)他們用英語(yǔ)說(shuō),同時(shí)在教學(xué)過(guò)程中滲透情感教育,這樣既可立足課本又可深挖教材,營(yíng)造師生共同學(xué)習(xí)的教學(xué)課堂。
4.教學(xué)活動(dòng)策略。
本課主要運(yùn)用多媒體輔助教學(xué)的策略,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)的能力,在進(jìn)行課堂教學(xué)時(shí),充分利用圖片和視頻等手段為學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)較為真實(shí)的語(yǔ)言情景,有利于學(xué)生多思多說(shuō),幫助學(xué)生領(lǐng)會(huì)語(yǔ)言的意義,并借此聚集學(xué)生的注意力,激發(fā)學(xué)生興趣并調(diào)動(dòng)其思維,讓其體驗(yàn)到學(xué)習(xí)帶來(lái)的成就感,從而產(chǎn)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的欲望。
5.教學(xué)重難點(diǎn)分析。
(1)掌握本課的新單詞與短語(yǔ),并且能正確的使用本課的一些重要句型。
(2)談?wù)撟钕矏?ài)的動(dòng)物并且給出喜歡的原因。
二、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1.情感態(tài)度價(jià)值觀目標(biāo)。
(1)樹(shù)立從小熱愛(ài)動(dòng)物的思想,動(dòng)物是我們?nèi)祟?lèi)的朋友。
(2)樹(shù)立保護(hù)動(dòng)物的意識(shí),保護(hù)動(dòng)物就是保護(hù)我們?nèi)祟?lèi)。
2.知識(shí)和能力目標(biāo)。
(1)學(xué)生能夠掌握本科的新單詞和一些新的句型和結(jié)構(gòu)。
New words and phrases:
wild, free, dish, pity, die, giant panda, no way, have/take pity on, in fact
New structure:
They may become dishes on the table any time.
Could you please not eat them?

(2)引導(dǎo)學(xué)生能夠從習(xí)性和外貌兩方面去討論野生動(dòng)物。

A ?Welcome to the unit
Step 1 Lead-in
Guess the name of the animal.
T: We know we have learnt many animals, such as the animals on the screen Now I will sing a popular Chinese childrens song. Listen to the song and guess what animal the song is about. Get them to guess the name of the animal. And teach “tiger”. Show the Ss some pictures of tigers, and by saying like this: They live in the forest or on the mountain. So they live in the wild. They are wild animals. And teach the students the phrases: live in the wild, wild animals. ??However, there are many other wild animals in the world. Would you like to go to the wild and visit them? Now lets go.

Step 2 Presentation
1. Present the names of wild animals
(1) Show more pictures of wild animals
T: They are wild animals and they can't speak like us. Can you help them introduce themselves? You can make the self-introduction just like this. Hello! My name is ... I am ... I can ...
(2) Read the names of the wild animals after the teacher
Ask the students to read these new words and phrases after the teacher for three times. Make sure all the students can read the names correctly. Then do Part A on page 57.
(3) Finish Part A on page57
(4) Play a guessing game:“Who am I?”
T: Wild animals are our friends. It's important to protect wild animals. Let's check how
much you know about wild animals. Let's play a guessing game. Write the names on
pieces of paper and then invite some students to choose and say something of the animals (To make it easier, ask the students to use the first person). The other students should listen carefully and guess what animal it is.
Bear: Im very big and strong. I like eating fish.
Zebra: I look like a horse and can run fast. I have black-white stripes.
Squirrel: I am small but lovely, I have a very big tail. I like eating nuts (堅(jiān)果) .
Giant Panda: I am very cute and I live in China. I hope that one day I can take a colour photo.
Dolphin: Im friendly and clever . I like playing balls and dancing in the sea.. Who am I?
Tiger: Im the King of our forest. Im dangerous. Dont attack (攻擊)me!
2. Present the dialogue
(1) Read the dialogue and answer the question.
T: Millie and her classmates are talking about their favourite wild animals. Let's listen to their conversation and then try to answer the question: What's Simon's favourite wild animal?.(play the recording of part B)
S: He likes lions best.
(2) Get the students to read the dialogue carefully and complete the table.
(3) Get the students to read the dialogue together or in roles.
(4) Make up dialogues.
T: We have learned many kinds of wild animals. Can you tell me which wild animal you like best? Then get the students to talk about their favorite wild animals. Use the following model to make dialogue.
A: Which animal do you like best?
B: I like … best.
A: Why?
B: Because they are …

1. Look at the picture and answer the questions
T: Look at the picture, we all know him. He is our old friend Eddie. Is Eddie a wild animal?
S: No. Because he doesn't need to look for food in the wild.
T: Well, Hobo and Eddie are talking about wild animals. Now lets watch a short flash about
their dialogue and try to answer the questions:
Will Eddie eat the wild animals ? Why or why not ?
2. Play the flash for them and then get some students to answer the question

Step 2 Practice
1. Play the tape again and get the students to read after it. Then ask them to fill in the blanks.
T: Please listen to the tape again and repeat in groups, paying attention to the pronunciation and
intonation.
2. Work in pairs and read the dialogue in roles.
