What could be better than enjoying a coffee in Italy？

Italians didnt discover coffee， but they have invented a unique15 and strong coffee culture. Italians mainly drink coffee in the morning and after meals， but its fine at any time of the day.

In Italy， a bar is really a cafe， where you can buy coffee. Cafes are always full no matter the time of the day. Most Italians drink coffee standing at the bar. Its a great way of saving money too！ Standing and ordering an espresso like an Italian will cost you half or even one third of the price than sitting down like a tourist.

At most Italian bars， you usually have to pay for your drink before it is prepared for you. And when you order a coffee， you will get a tiny， bitter espresso. This is “normal coffee” for Italians. Breakfast in a bar in Italy normally means a coffee and a pastry16. Cappuccinos（卡布奇諾）are very popular at breakfast time. And real Italians will tell you， never order a cappuccino after 11∶00 in the morning. Coffee with milk is only for breakfast， and if you insist， then you must be a tourist to Italy. Most restaurants in Italy dont even serve milk coffee after dinner.

Remember， once you taste Italian coffee， you wont want any other“ coffee”.
