Create a relaxed and pleasant pedestrian environment with rich green plants
2 構(gòu)造柱上的標識系統(tǒng)Signage system on structural columns
Green-oriented walking path
Communication space under the viaduct

Chuo Line Mall is an urban design and landscape project which is located along the Chuo Line in the west of Tokyo operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) station . The site is 9km long, under the elevated railway between Mitaka and Tachikawa station.
In this project, Earthscape played an important role in master planning, and we created a design code book to guide architects and designers who involved in the project.
we aim to refine the abandoned space to a better equipped environment for the local residents, a real communal place where people can rest and spend their time pleasantly. In order to enhance the sense of belongings to the place, we rename the 9km walkway as ‘Nonomichi’, and we recycle some discarded rail tracks for furnitures and local wood for flooring.
