A man may usually be known by the books he reads as well as by the friends he has. There is a companionship of books as well as of men.
A good book may be among the best of friends. It is the same today that always was,and it will never change. It is the most patient and cheerful companion of all.It always receives us with the same kindness. It can amuse and instruct us in youth, and encourage us in age.
A good book is often the best harvest of a life. The most part of the world of a man’s life is the world of his thought. So the best books are treasuries of good words, the golden thoughts. They become our forever friends.
By far books are the most lasting products of human being.Temples and statues can fall down, but books survive.Time can’t take away great thoughts which are as fresh today as when they first passed through the authors’minds ages ago.It shows us as lively as ever before.Nothing can last long but what is really good.
Books introduce us into the best society;they bring us to stand before the great people. We hear what they said and did.We see
them as if they were really alive. We share life with them.Their experience becomes ours, and we feel as if we were acting with them in the scenes which they described.
The great and good do not die forever in this world because of books. The book is a living voice,so we ever remain under the influence of the great men.

1.It is the most patient and cheerful companion of all.
這兩個(gè)形容詞均為多音節(jié)單詞,其最高級(jí)為“the most+adj.”
2.Time can’t take away great thoughts which are as fresh today as when they first passed through the author’s minds ages ago.
3.The great and good do not die forever in this world because of books.
如果將because of換成because,后面就需要接句子there are books。
