School Bus Bikes in Holland荷蘭自行校車(chē)

Bikes are very popular in Holland. In fact， nearly half of all travel in Holland is by bike. Now， one Dutch bike designer， Thomas， is creating a different style of bike， which may not be popular everywhere. But in Holland， where many people are interested in bikes， he thinks this new form of bike will be popular.

The big bike has eight sets of pedals1 for kids， a driver seat for an adult， and three other seats， comfortably letting little kids for their trip to and from school. The bike even has a motor2， which can help with high hills or at times when few kids on it.

So far， Thomas tells Fast Company that hes sold 25 school-bikes， at a price of $25，000 each—less than it would cost to buy a traditional school bus with the same number of seats. Along with the traditional color， the bikes are colored yellow so that they can be seen easily.

Thomas says hes sold school bus bikes to neighboring countries such as Belgium， England and Germany， but so far， the school bus bike hasnt been sold in the United States. If the U.S. agrees to buy this kind of school bus bike， it could do a lot of good to improve exercise for a young age and help them keep healthy.

托馬斯告訴“快速公司”：目前他已經(jīng)賣(mài)出了25輛自行校車(chē)，每輛25000美元，低于擁有相同座位的傳統(tǒng)校車(chē)的價(jià)格。和校車(chē)一樣，自行校車(chē)也被漆成了黃色，醒目易見(jiàn)。

托馬斯說(shuō)他已經(jīng)把自行校車(chē)賣(mài)給了臨近的國(guó)家，如比利時(shí)、英國(guó)、德國(guó)等，但目前，這種自行校車(chē)還沒(méi)有在美國(guó)出售。如果美國(guó)同意買(mǎi)這種自行校車(chē)，對(duì)于提高兒童鍛煉、保持健康都大有好處。
