As a highly cyclical business operating in 33 countries globally， the fast-moving global macro-economic environment was the biggest challenge we faced in 2015. My role， and that of our finance team， was to ensure that our management teams around the world have fast， accurate and thus useful trading， forward projections and economic data on which to base ongoing investment decisions， and that we exert special vigilance on the cash collectability of receivables in the more materially affected areas of our business.

Intuit CFO Neil Williams believes the best way to build a product customers want to use is to observe them in their natural habitat. "Whether we are watching someone at their kitchen table doing their tax return， or watching someone do payroll or taxes in their office， follow me home is a critical way we learn about how our platforms are used." Williams says. "That process of observing the customers provides us with deep customer immersion and has helped us focus on the things customers really like and appreciate， and not burden them with things you can do but nobody cares about，" Williams says.

Marriott CFO，Carl Berquist

Marriott CFO Carl Berquist says his company's $12.2 billion acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide won't force the company into the high-yield debt market. "Similarly， financing the combined companies' cash-flow needs also shouldn't be a problem， given their reliance on franchisees and partners to operate most of their hotels and resorts." Berquist told that Marriott can get money at very attractive rates."
