A Study on the Formation Mechanism and Evolution Trend of Red Revolutionary Tourism Symbiosis Atlas in Sichuan Province

Abstract：

Taking the red revolutionary tourism of Sichuan Province—where red resources are in of average quality level in China and relatively representative—as an example， this paper makes an in-depth exploration of the explanatory power and theoretical adaptability of the symbiosis theoretical framework with respect to the development of Sichuan red tourism. Based on a long-term follow-up investigation， it summarizes the formation process of the symbiosis map of Sichuan red tourism and thoroughly explores the internal mechanism and evolution of the symbiosis atlas.

The advantages of using the symbiosis theoretical framework to analyze red tourism are as follows：First， the symbiosis theory lays more emphasis on the cooperation and symbiosis of various subjects at different levels of inequality under the established evaluation system， which is more in line with a realistic development ecology of red tourism; second， as a mature systematic theoretical framework， the symbiosis theory has sorted out nine states of symbiosis system based on clarifying the three elements of the symbiosis unit， model， and system， in order to make a more accurate identification and judgment on the stage， trend， and crux of red tourism symbiosis. Relevant metrological models can also provide references for quantitative research. It offers stronger explanatory power for red tourism problems; third， most existing studies on red tourism are case studies. It is therefore particularly necessary to use the theoretical framework of symbiosis to study these individual cases， and then extract the commonalities and rules from the cases.

According to the long-term tracking survey， this study infers that the fundamental logic of the symbiotic development of Sichuan red tourism is as follows： Based on the characteristics of red tourism， guided by the dual objectives of the government and the market， a development mechanism that various subjects “can access， are willing to participate in， and can benefit from”should be constructed. What is more， this article also holds that guided by a vision of symbiosis and common prosperity， guaranteed by contracts， and strengthened by benefits， the Party and government institutes， enterprises， and residents should be incentivized to take part in it. In addition， while developing red tourism， regional economic development， improvement of peoples livelihood， and rural revitalization should also be positively affected.

This paper predicts that the development trend of red tourism will be in this way： First， with the optimization of the design and operation mode of red tourism scenic spots， the value of red tourism will be better presented and realized; second， in addition to ideological value， red tourism would be more and more discovered and recognized by tourists for its spiritual nourishment， rebirth， and invigoration. Third， more parents would be willing to use red tourism resources to help their children enhance their sense of mission， improve their ability to overcome setbacks， and develop a spirit of perseverance; fourth， the red tourism market will gradually form a development pattern that “the government provides free red tourism basic public goods while the market provides customized high-end red tourism consumer goods”.
