Book Review on Wonders 《奇跡男孩》讀后感

After reading Wonder， I thought of what Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potterhave once said， “It is not our ability that decides who we are， but our choices.”

What strikes me most in this book is everyones choice to be kind. August， ourlovable protagonist （ 主人公）， chose to be courageous against the malice （ 惡意）towards him. Jack， chose to be Augusts friend despite his appearance. Via， the bestsister with a warming heart， cried for discovering her sub-consciousness （ 潛意識）of not wanting her friends to see August. Summer， chose to stand by August whenmore than half of the whole school turned against him. Even the headmaster Mr.Tushman would take various kinds of religious belief into his consideration whendelivering a speech at the graduation ceremony.

Therefore， this book is far more than a story of August who overcame hisinner fear to become a better person. It is the story of Via， Jack， Summer， etc. It isabout choosing kind over right， about being courageous and fight， of a belief thatwe would never go gentle into that good night. It is the story of me. It is the storyof you. It is the story of all of us. Through such an ingenious （ 巧妙的） book， wefind ourselves in each fictional character， and eventually realize what the name of ittruly means — we are the wonders for ourselves.
