Dear diary,
Miss Chen took us to the City Museum today. What a wonderful class trip before graduation(畢業(yè))! “Visiting a museum is like wandering through a time warp(時(shí)間隧道) !” Miss Chen told us on the bus, “We can learn more about our citys past, and then we can be inspired(鼓舞) to make its future better.”
When we arrived at the museum, a guide showed us a warm welcome. “Dont be ashamed(害羞的) to ask questions,” Miss Chen said, “The guide will be glad to explain(解釋).” The museum was huge and had four galleries(場(chǎng)館) of History, Technology, Nature, and Arts. Each gallery was divided into some halls(展廳).
Bronze ware(青銅器), jade(玉器), ceramics(陶器)... I saw various treasures of each dynasty(朝代) in the History Gallery. From carriages to automobiles(汽車), from telephones to smart phones, the Technology Gallery displayed how technology has changed our lives. Most of my classmates loved the giant dinosaur skeleton(恐龍骨架) in the Nature Gallery. It looked so cool! Finally, we went to the Arts Gallery, where there was an exhibition(展覽) of ancient Chinese painting and calligraphy(書法).
“There are so many old things to see in the museum!” One of my classmates said on the way back. “And theres always something new to learn!” Miss Chen added(補(bǔ)充). “Why not create a ‘museum of our class?” I suggested. “To keep and show our wonderful moments! What a great idea!” Miss Chen said excitedly. I cant wait to make it happen!
