H.E. Fernando Lugris， Ambassador of Uruguay to China， Visiting Chongqing

From March 30 to April 1， Fernando Lugris， Ambassador of Uruguay to China， led a delegation to visit Chongqing. On March 31， Hu Henghua， Deputy Secretary of CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Mayor of Chongqing Municipal Peoples Government met with the delegation. Other attendees include Zhang Guozhi， Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipal Peoples Government， Luo Qingquan， Secretary-General of Chongqing Municipal Peoples Government， officials from the Embassy of Uruguay in China and Consulate-General of Uruguay in China， and officials from related departments of Chongqing Municipality.

On behalf of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Chongqing Municipal Peoples Government， Hu Henghua welcomed Lugris. He said， “In the phone call with President Lacalle， President Xi Jinping pointed out that we should adhere to the philosophy of building a community with a shared future for mankind to embark on a journey of solidarity and cooperation. In recent years， Chongqing has been redoubling efforts to turn important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries into action. Fruitful results have been registered in promoting bilateral cooperation on various fronts. Thus， Chongqing has made contributions to deepening the strategic partnership between China and Uruguay. At present， we strive to implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and major guidance as well as instructions delivered by President Xi Jinping to Chongqing. We are also committed to carrying out the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-Hub Mega-Region， a priority of our work， and turning the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor into a high-level platform to build a new modern Chongqing in all respects. Uruguay is one of the most important cooperative partners of Chongqing in Latin America. We stand ready to increase bilateral engagements in economy and trade， deepen exchanges and cooperation in such fields as tourism， education， sports， and culture， and cement our sister-city relationship. We welcome Ambassador as well as political and business delegations from Uruguay and other Latin American countries to participate in events such as Smart China Expo and Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade （WCIFIT） in Chongqing to engage in consultation and cooperation and seek development together.”

Lugris extended gratitude to the warm reception by the Chongqing side. He said， “I have visited Chongqing multiple times and witnessed the great development achievements made by Chongqing. Uruguay and Chongqing have close exchanges. With the economies of the two sides complementing each other， we have huge potential for future cooperation. We are ready to enhance economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges with Chongqing and expand cooperation in such fields as digital economy and cross-border e-commerce. We welcome companies from Chongqing to invest and do business in Uruguay， joining hands to write a new chapter for bilateral cooperation.”

During their stay in Chongqing， the delegation led by Lugris paid field visits to Chongqing Football Association Youth Training Center and Chongqing Zoyet Equestrian Club and discussed exchanges and cooperation in sports projects including youth football and horse riding. In addition， they also visited the Hall of Imports from Uruguay and participated in the photography exhibition held by the Consulate-General of Uruguay in Chongqing to mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Uruguay.

烏拉圭駐華大使盧格里斯訪渝

3月30日至4月1日，烏拉圭駐華大使費爾南多·盧格里斯率團來渝訪問。3月31日，市委副書記、市長胡衡華會見來訪的烏拉圭駐華大使盧格里斯一行。副市長張國智，市政府秘書長羅清泉，烏拉圭駐華使領館有關人員，市有關部門負責人參加。

訪渝期間，盧格里斯一行考察了重慶市足球協(xié)會青訓中心、重慶卓悅馬術俱樂部，探討推進青少年足球和馬術等運動項目交流合作。此外，還考察了烏拉圭進口商品館，出席烏拉圭駐渝總領館為慶祝中烏建交35周年舉辦的攝影展。

From 18 to 20， March， H.E. Ambassador Tin Maung Swe， Ambassador of Myanmar to China， visited Chongqing. H.E. Tin Maung Swe called on Zhang Guozhi， Vice Mayor of the Chongqing Municipal Government. He also paid a visit to Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation （Group） Co.， LTD. （CFTEC）， Dazu District， Bishan District， and Yuzhong District.

Wang Wen， Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government， met with H.E. Ambassador Ding Maung Swe. They fully exchanged views and reached a consensus on promoting cooperation between Chongqing and Myanmar. Wang Wen said that the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office would encourage more Chongqing businesses to collaborate with Myanmar and advance the collaboration between Chongqing and Yangon.

H.E. Ambassador Ding Maung Swe visited Dazu Rock Carvings Cultural and Creative Industrial Park， China-Myanmar Economic Cooperation Industrial Park， Sichuan-Chongqing Cultural and Creative Industry Comprehensive Training Base， Myanmar Promotion Center， and OSell Group. Discussions were held on promoting the cooperation between Chongqing and Myanmar in economy and trade， cultural tourism， cultural and creative industries， rural revitalization， and cross-border e-commerce. Jiang Zhibin， Tian Zhong， and Zhang Chuan of Bishan District， Zhang Ming of Dazu District， and Liu Hanjie of the CFTEC accompanied the visit.

緬甸駐華大使丁貌瑞來渝訪問

3月18日至20日，緬甸駐華大使丁貌瑞來渝訪問。丁貌瑞大使拜會了市政府副市長張國智，并前往重慶對外經(jīng)貿(mào)集團、大足區(qū)、璧山區(qū)和渝中區(qū)參觀訪問。

市政府外辦主任王雯與丁貌瑞大使進行工作會談，就推進重慶與緬甸友好交流合作充分交換意見并達成工作共識。王雯表示，市政府外辦將推動更多有意愿的重慶企業(yè)與緬方開展合作，并進一步加強重慶市與仰光市的友好合作。

Zhao Shiqing， Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Peoples Congress， Attending the Opening Ceremony of the Hungarian Cultural Festival

On March 15， the Reception for the 175th Anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence of 1848-1849 and the Opening Ceremony of the Hungarian Cultural Festival in Western China – Spring of Budapest was held in Eling Park， Yuzhong District. Zhao Shiqing， Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Peoples Congress， participated in the event and delivered a speech. The attendees also included Zhang Xuemin， Deputy Director-General of the Office of Ethnic， Religious， and Overseas Chinese Affairs of the Chongqing Municipal Peoples Congress; Zhang Yaxi， Deputy Director-General of Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office; officials from Chongqing municipal-level departments， district/county-level governments， heads of the Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Province and the Peoples Government of Yibin City， and consular officers in Chongqing and Chengdu.

In his remarks， Zhao Shiqing said that Hungary is of crucial importance in Chongqings exchanges with Central and Eastern Europe. Since the establishment of the Consulate-General of Hungary in Chongqing in 2010， Hungary has maintained active exchanges with Chongqing at all levels and in various sectors in Chongqing. The two sides have worked together to make all-around exchanges and engage in practical cooperation in economy and trade， technology， education， culture， and transportation， fostering a solid friendship. Looking into the future， Chongqing is ready to deepen friendship and all-around cooperation with Hungary， enhance people-to-people exchanges， and work for joint development and prosperity.

Gergely Kádár， Consul-General of Hungary in Chongqing， introduced the history of the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence of 1848-1849. He also said that the Reception also marked the 200th anniversary of the birth of Sándor Pet?fi， a Hungarian patriotic poet; therefore， the Consulate-General held the exhibition for guests and people in Chongqing to learn more about Hungary.

The guests presented a wreath for the sculpture of Pet?fi and his spouse Júlia in Eling Park and visited the exhibition on the 200th anniversary of Pet?fis birth.

市人大常委會副主任趙世慶出席匈牙利文化節(jié)開幕活動

3月15日，匈牙利1848—1849年革命及獨立戰(zhàn)爭175周年招待會暨2023年中國西部匈牙利文化節(jié)·布達佩斯之春開幕式在渝中區(qū)鵝嶺公園舉行。市人大常委會副主任趙世慶應邀出席活動并致辭，市人大民宗僑外委副主任委員張雪敏、市政府外辦副主任張婭茜，部分重慶市級部門和區(qū)縣政府負責人，四川省政府外辦和宜賓市政府負責人，外國駐渝蓉總領事館官員等共同出席活動。

趙世慶在致辭中表示，匈牙利是重慶在中東歐國家中的重要交往對象，自2010年在渝設立總領事館以來，一直與重慶各層級、各領域保持著活躍的往來。兩地攜手在經(jīng)貿(mào)、科技、教育、文化、交通等領域充分交流、務實合作，建立了深厚的情誼。未來，重慶愿繼續(xù)深入拓展與匈牙利的全面友好合作，增進兩地民心相通，實現(xiàn)互利發(fā)展繁榮。

葛凱達在致辭中介紹了匈牙利1848—1849年革命及獨立戰(zhàn)爭的歷史，并表示此次國慶招待會適逢匈牙利著名愛國詩人裴多菲·山道爾誕辰200周年，總領館特為此舉行紀念主題展覽，歡迎在場嘉賓和重慶市民通過欣賞展覽，加深對匈牙利的了解。

On March 21， Wang Yu， Vice Chairperson of the CPPCC Chongqing Committee， Director-General of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League， and President of the Research Institute of Culture and History of the Chongqing Municipal Government made an inspection trip to Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office and held a symposium. Wang Jiguang， Deputy Secretary-General of the CPPCC Chongqing Committee; Li Changming， Director-General of the CPPCC Chongqing Committee on Liaison with Hong Kong， Macao， Taiwan， and Overseas Chinese， and He Fang， Deputy Director-General of the CPPCC Chongqing Committee on Liaison with Hong Kong， Macao， Taiwan， and Overseas Chinese also participated in the event， accompanied by Wang Wen， Director-General of Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office and her deputies Zhang Yaxi， Zhou Yi， and Feng Zimin， and Huang Rui， Level-II Inspector of Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office.

During the field visit， Wang Yu gained a detailed understanding of the preparation of major foreign affairs. He also visited the Chongqing Municipal Foreign Affairs Service Center and was briefed on the foreign affairs work to serve the people.

In the Symposium， Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office reported on the development of foreign affairs and Hong Kong and Macao affairs in recent years and future plans for 2023. Wang Yu fully recognized the work of the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office. He hoped that it would strengthen the coordination of foreign affairs and increase international influence through foreign affairs series events so as to expand its circle of international friends and create new prospects of foreign affairs， Hong Kong and Macao Affairs， and Chongqing Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office should also enhance exchanges and cooperation with the CPPCC Chongqing Committee on Liaison with Hong Kong， Macao， Taiwan， and Overseas Chinese， share the platform of resources， and make joint efforts to expedite the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-Hub Mega-Region， the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor， and the Center for International Exchanges in Central and Western China. Therefore， it can pool consensus and inspire more people in Hong Kong and Macao to love both the country and their own regions.

3月21日，市政協(xié)副主席、臺盟市委會主委、市政府文史研究館館長王昱到市政府外辦調(diào)研工作并召開座談會。市政協(xié)副秘書長王濟光，市政協(xié)港澳臺僑外事委主任李長明、專職副主任何方等參加調(diào)研；市政府外辦主任王雯，副主任張婭茜、周毅、馮子敏，二級巡視員黃銳等陪同調(diào)研。

On March 27， Wang Wen， Director-General of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal Government， met with Zhang Yupeng， Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield in Western China， and his delegation. Celebrating the International Womens Day in Chongqing

On March 8， the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Peoples Government and the Peoples Government of Nanchuan District jointly held the 2023 International Womens Day Celebration “Embracing Spring and Womanhood”. Female representatives from foreign consulates and agencies in Chongqing were invited to enjoy the beauty of the spring and celebrate International Womens Day in Nanchuan District， Chongqing， renew friendships， and explore cooperation opportunities. During this trip， they also learned about Nanchuans economic and social development and rural revitalization. This activity gained strong support from Chongqing Womens Federation.

日本駐重慶總領事高田真里、緬甸駐重慶副總領事信雅、加拿大駐重慶總領事館領事譚詠詩、匈牙利駐重慶總領事館領事邵凱婷、白俄羅斯駐重慶總領事館領事阿納斯塔西婭，以及來自菲律賓、韓國、越南等國駐渝總領事館及機構代表，市政府外辦領事處，渝中、沙坪壩、巴南、大足、萬州、渝北等區(qū)外辦女性負責人等20多人參加活動。中外嘉賓一同欣賞南川秀麗的自然風光，開展瑜伽、太極拳、茶藝等體驗活動，盡情享受“森”呼吸，感受南川的綠色生態(tài)之美。

“Chongqing”， a Hot Word at the China-Mexico Cooperation and Development Forum

Hosted by the China International Communications Group （CICG） Center for the Americas， the China-Mexico Cooperation and Development Forum themed “Sharing Opportunities and Creating a Better Future” was held both online and in person on March 10.

Gao Anming， Deputy Director-General and Editor-in-Chief of China International Communications Group， H.E. Zhang Run， Ambassador of China to Mexico， and H.E. Jesús Seade， Ambassador of Mexico to China， attended the Forum and delivered speeches. Cai Wei， Director-General of the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs， MFA; Wang Wen， Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal Government; José Narro Céspedes， Senator of the Mexican Senate; Polevensky， Chairman of the Mexico-China Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Mexican House of Representatives delivered speeches. Li Yafang， Director of the CICG Center for the Americas， moderated the Forum.

Chongqing became a hot word during the Forum. The Mexican Ambassador to China， H.E. Jesús Seade， briefly introduced the close exchanges between Mexico and Chongqing in recent years. Mr. Nuo Junhui， Director of the UNAMs Representative Office of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in China， introduced the progress of exchanges with Chongqing University. Anibal Carlos Zottele， Director of the China-Veracruz Research Center at the University of Veracruz in Mexico， shared the results of cooperation between the University of Veracruz and Chongqing Institute of Science and Technology. Victor Mendez， president of the Mexico-China Business and Technology Chamber of Commerce， expressed his interest in setting up an office in Chongqing.

中國—墨西哥合作與發(fā)展論壇“重慶”成為高頻詞

3月10日，由中國外文局美洲傳播中心（北京周報社）主辦的“共享機遇 共創(chuàng)未來”中國—墨西哥合作與發(fā)展論壇以線上線下相結合的方式舉行。

中國外文局副局長兼總編輯高岸明、中國駐墨西哥大使張潤、墨西哥駐華大使赫蘇斯·施雅德出席論壇并致辭。外交部拉美司司長蔡偉、市政府外辦主任王雯等中方嘉賓，以及墨西哥參議院書記何塞·納羅、墨西哥眾議院墨中議會友好小組主席波列文斯基等墨方嘉賓作了論壇發(fā)言。美洲傳播中心主任李雅芳主持論壇。

會上“重慶”成為高頻詞：墨西哥駐華大使施雅德簡要介紹了近年墨西哥與重慶的密切交往；墨西哥國立自治大學駐華代表處主任諾君輝介紹了與重慶大學交流進展情況；墨西哥韋拉克魯斯州大學“中國—維拉克魯斯研究中心”主任阿尼巴爾·卡洛斯·索特雷分享了韋拉克魯斯州大學與重慶科技學院合作情況；墨中商業(yè)科技商會主席維克多·門德斯表示有意愿在重慶設立辦公室。

The Second Meeting of the Expert Committee of Stilwell Research Center Held

On March 24， the second meeting of the Expert Committee of Stilwell Research Center was held online. Attendees included Zhou Yi， Deputy Director-General of the Chongqing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office， John Easterbrook， Huang Kaimeng， and Jiang Ping， members of the Expert Committee from the Stilwell Research Center Expert Committee， and Tao Yan， Director of the Stilwell Research Center.

Firstly， Zhou Yi expressed his gratitude to the members for their support and assistance to the Stilwell Research Center. He said that over the past year or so， the Stilwell Research Center has made scheduled progress in Chongqing Stilwell Museums overall planning， academic research， and international exchanges. There are new features and highlights. The Expert Committee has given its support to the sound development of the Stilwell Research Center and the Chongqing Stilwell Museum. This year marks the 140th anniversary of General Stilwells birth. He hoped that members of the committee could give full play to their wisdom and advantages in resources， networks， and industries， support the activities commemorating the 140th anniversary of General Stilwells birth， find more cooperation opportunities， and facilitate the work of the Center and the Museum.

John Easterbrook said he was glad that a series of events marking the 140th anniversary of Stilwells birth could be held in Chongqing and would like to help with the preparation of the event and put forward suggestions on how to better play the role of the committee. Huang Kaimeng said that the exchanges of the Center with other institutes are becoming more and more active， and the Museum is continuously improving. She expressed willingness to actively help the Center to carry out cooperation in educational exchanges and book publishing. Jiang Ping said the Stilwell Research Center and Chongqing Stilwell Museum are important platforms for people-to-people exchanges between China and the United States， and he hoped to boost friendly interactions between people from the two sides by holding a series of commemorative activities for the 140th anniversary of General Stilwells birth.

史迪威研究中心專家委員會第二次會議召開

3月24日，史迪威研究中心專家委員會第二次會議以線上方式召開。市政府外辦副主任周毅，專家委員會委員約翰·伊斯特布魯克、黃開蒙、蔣平出席，史迪威研究中心主任陶燕參加。

周毅首先向各位委員對中心發(fā)展提供的支持和幫助表示感謝。他表示，近一年來史迪威研究中心在重慶史迪威博物館整體規(guī)劃、學術研究和對外交往等方面有序推進，呈現(xiàn)出新的特色和亮點，充分發(fā)揮委員會支持中心和博物館健康發(fā)展的作用。今年適逢史迪威將軍誕辰140周年，希望各位委員進一步發(fā)揮各自智慧、資源、人脈、行業(yè)等優(yōu)勢，積極支持辦好史迪威將軍誕辰140周年系列活動，幫助拓寬中心和博物館對外合作渠道，助力中心和博物館工作邁上新臺階。

伊斯特布魯克表示，很高興史迪威誕辰140周年系列活動能在重慶舉辦，愿為此次活動的籌備提供幫助，并對如何更好發(fā)揮委員會作用提出了建議。黃開蒙表示，中心對外交流日趨活躍，博物館體系日臻完善，愿積極幫助中心在教育交流、書籍出版等方面開展合作。蔣平表示，史迪威研究中心和重慶史迪威博物館是中美民間交往重要平臺，希望通過舉辦史迪威誕辰140周年系列活動加強兩國人民的友好交往。

“Protecting Lush Mountains and Sharing Blue Sky”， China-Japan Online Symposium on Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Successfully Held

On March 16， the Chongqing Municipal Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries， the Sichuan Provincial Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries， and the Consulate-General of Japan in Chongqing jointly held the Third China-Japan Online Symposium on Disaster Prevention and Mitigation in Xichang， a city of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. The theme of the Symposium is “Protecting Lush Mountains and Sharing Blue Sky”， and the guests shared insights and discussed the wildfire response experience， forest firefighting， training， and rescue.

In 2022 Chongqing underwent severe natural disasters， including heat waves， droughts， and wildfires. Shapingba District and Beibei District both have a high forest coverage and therefore have been experienced in preventing and responding to forest fires.

“共護青山，同享藍天”中日防災減災研討會舉辦

3月16日，重慶市人民對外友好協(xié)會與四川省人民對外友好協(xié)會、日本駐重慶總領事館在四川省涼山彝族自治州西昌市，共同舉辦第三次中日防災減災研討會。以“共護青山，同享藍天”為主題，包括沙坪壩區(qū)、北碚區(qū)在內(nèi)的與會嘉賓圍繞森林火災的應對措施及經(jīng)驗、森林消防的訓練及救援等內(nèi)容進行分享和討論。

2022年重慶經(jīng)歷了高溫、干旱、山火等自然災害的嚴峻考驗，沙坪壩區(qū)和北碚區(qū)都有較高的森林覆蓋率，在預防和應對山林火災方面都有豐富的經(jīng)驗。
