I am President of Nepal-China Academy (NCA),a nonprofit organization established in 2006 to promote Nepal-China peopleto-people exchanges in areas of education,culture,and media.Inaugurated by the then Chinese ambassador to Nepal Sun Heping,NCA’s mission is to help raising Nepal-China bilateral relations to a new height by providing authentic knowledge about China to Nepali people as well as related knowledge regarding Nepal to the Chinese people.Recently,we shared the article “The Philosophy of a High-Quality Belt and Road Initiative” printed in the December issue ofChina Todayon our Facebook official account.The book review written by Leela Mani Poudel,former ambassador of Nepal to China,introduced the fourth volume ofXi Jinping: The Governance of Chinawhich had been published at a time of great global turbulence,confrontations,crises,and economic distress.As the author pointed out,three years of the COVID-19 pandemic have exacerbated the challenges of climate change,including frequent extreme-weather disasters,increased the number of global refugees,fueled rampant poverty,and created challenges unique to our digital era,such as data and cyber security.Therefore,President Xi Jinping’s thought on highquality development of the Belt and Road has given the solution to tackling global challenges through cooperation and collaboration for sustainable and people-centered development.And the development deliverables must be made inclusive and equitable across the globe.Thus,the challenges posed by climate change and the pandemic can be addressed effectively through the collective efforts of all nations,each entrusted with responsibilities based on their capabilities.NCA sincerely hopes to create a harmonious world within the framework of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.

I am a journalist ofLa Nación,an Argentine daily newspaper.I covered the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Beijing last October.Soon after that impressive experience,I had the opportunity to read through the article “Foreign Perspectives on the Chinese Path” published in the November issue ofChina Today.During the 20th CPC National Congress,the world was watching to see the direction China is going to take in the future,which will surely impact the rest of the world.If one looks back into history,from the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949,to the launch of the reform and opening-up drive in 1978,and the dramatic development China has experienced in the following decades,the CPC has led the nation on an extraordinary journey of innovation.The CPC has shown its outstanding capability to adapt,innovate,and lead Chinese people in making breakthroughs and achievements in different stages of development.China has modernized at a speed and scale unprecedented in human history.And I believe China is going to be the largest economy in the world,and its growth will have a positive impact on us all.
