Chinese People for Pakistani Brothers and Sisters Chongqing Engaged in the Donation for Flood Relief

A ceremony of the donation for flood relief titled “Chinese People for Pakistani Brothers and Sisters” was held in Beijing.“援助‘巴鐵’ 中國民間在行動”——援助巴基斯坦抗洪賑災(zāi)捐贈儀式在北京舉行。

On 25thSeptember,a ceremony of the donation for flood relief titled“Chinese People for Pakistani Brothers and Sisters” was held in Beijing,co-hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC),the China-Pakistan Friendship Association(CPFA),and the China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development.The attendees also delivered their addresses,including Lin Songtian,President of CPAFFC,Sha Zukang,President of CPFA,Moin-ul-Haque,Ambassador of Pakistan to China,and other major donators.

In June this year,Pakistan was hit by the “once-in-a-century flood”,causing heavy casualties and property damage.At the request of Pakistan,the CPAFFC immediately organized an event of flood relief titled “Chinese People for Pakistani Brothers and Sisters”,which received encouraging responses from all domestic civil forces and raised RMB10,372,400 and relief materials worth RMB114million,totaling about RMB125million.That shows the support and contribution of 18 sister cities,24 friendship organizations and local friendship associations,13 enterprises and hundreds of caring persons from 15 provinciallevel regions.

At the disaster relief donation ceremony,representatives from nine provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government),including Beijing,Tianjin,Shaanxi,Xinjiang,Henan,Ningxia,Chongqing,Shanghai and Liaoning,expressed their support and wish to the people of Pakistan,either offline or by video.They believe that the people of Pakistan will be able to overcome the disaster and rebuild beautiful homes as soon as possible.Through promoting the highquality development of China-Pakistan sister cities,they look forward to deepening the friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation,and contributing to building a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.

9月25日，中國人民對外友好協(xié)會、中國——巴基斯坦友好協(xié)會和中國友好和平發(fā)展基金會在北京舉辦“援助‘巴鐵’中國民間在行動”——援助巴基斯坦抗洪賑災(zāi)捐贈儀式。中國人民對外友好協(xié)會會長林松添、中國——巴基斯坦友好協(xié)會會長沙祖康、巴基斯坦駐華大使莫因·哈克以及主要捐贈方代表出席并致辭。

今年6月，巴基斯坦遭遇“世紀(jì)洪災(zāi)”，造成重大人員傷亡和財(cái)產(chǎn)損失。應(yīng)巴方請求，中國人民對外友好協(xié)會立即組織了“援助‘巴鐵’中國民間在行動”的援助賑災(zāi)活動，得到國內(nèi)各方面民間力量的積極響應(yīng)，共籌集到善款1037.24萬元，救災(zāi)物資約合1.14億元，總價(jià)值共計(jì)1.25億元人民幣，展現(xiàn)了來自15個(gè)省區(qū)市的18對友好城市、24個(gè)友好組織與地方友協(xié)、13家企業(yè)和數(shù)百位愛心人士的支持和貢獻(xiàn)。

抗洪賑災(zāi)捐贈儀式上，北京、天津、陜西、新疆、河南、寧夏、重慶、上海、遼寧等9個(gè)?。ㄗ灾螀^(qū)、直轄市）代表以線下或視頻方式發(fā)言，一致表達(dá)了對巴基斯坦人民的慰問和祝愿，相信巴人民一定能夠早日戰(zhàn)勝災(zāi)情，重建美麗家園，并期待今后以推動中巴友城高質(zhì)量發(fā)展為抓手，深化彼此友好交流與互利合作，為構(gòu)建新時(shí)代更加緊密的中巴命運(yùn)共同體貢獻(xiàn)力量。

林松添會長介紹了本次組織民間援巴賑災(zāi)行動的主要考慮、總體情況和重要意義，并感謝包括重慶在內(nèi)的15個(gè)省區(qū)市友協(xié)迅速行動，為此次援巴賑災(zāi)行動作出無私貢獻(xiàn)。

President Lin Songtian introduced the main consideration,the overall situation and the importance of this disaster relief.He also expressed his gratitude to the Friendship Association of 15 provinces and municipalities,including Chongqing,for their prompt action and selfless contribution.

On 23rdSeptember,the disaster relief supplies donated by Chongqing was consigned from Tuanjiecun Station to Pakistan.The rail-sea intermodal train of New Land-Sea Trade Corridor,which is full of cotton tents,sleeping bags,emergency lighting equipment and other supplies,departs from Chongqing,then exits from the Qinzhou port in Guangxi by sea,and finally arrives at the Karachi port in Pakistan,to assist the Pakistan people to overcome the disaster and rebuild homes.

In 2021,Chongqing,Balochistan and Karachi in Pakistan established friendly and cooperative relations,with closer exchange and cooperation in various fields covering economy,trade,people-to-people and cultural exchanges.

此前，重慶市援助巴基斯坦救災(zāi)物資已于9月23日從團(tuán)結(jié)村中心站啟運(yùn)。滿載棉帳篷、睡袋、應(yīng)急照明設(shè)備等救災(zāi)物資的陸海新通道鐵海聯(lián)運(yùn)班列從重慶出發(fā)，在廣西欽州港換裝海運(yùn)出境，抵達(dá)巴基斯坦卡拉奇港口，助力巴基斯坦災(zāi)區(qū)人民抗擊災(zāi)情、重建家園。

重慶市與巴基斯坦俾路支省、卡拉奇市于2021年建立友好合作關(guān)系，在經(jīng)貿(mào)、人文等各領(lǐng)域交流合作密切。
