When I was a child, I liked acting very much. When I was in Grade 3 and found out there was a school for the arts in my city, I told my parents that I really wanted toaudition. Kids of my age only had to tell a joke and sing the nationalanthem.
“What joke will you tell?” my parents asked me. “I'll tell that story about theketchup,” I said.“When I was little, I watched a scary movie with Aunt Carole. She said, ‘Don't worry, nobody really got hurt. They just put ketchup on the actors to make it look like blood.’ After that, I said I wanted to be an actor because I loved ketchup. When the joke is over, I will eat it all up! ” They smiled instead of laughing. “Maybe you could tell other jokes,” my father suggested. He had lots to choose from, but I was sure my story was funnier.
My audition came around. Sitting in the hall waiting for my turn, I was quite nervous. When the judges called my name, my whole body turned to ice. I stood up and walked on the stage. Then I started right away with my story about Aunt Carole and acting. I got to the most interesting part about eating it all up...but nobody laughed. Nobody laughed! “I'm sorry,” I said to the judges. That was terrible. “I can do much better. Really I can.”
Besides, during the audition, I didn't sing very well that day. Then I said sorry again and again,until one of the judges said, “Never say sorry at an audition. Nobody cares if you can't do well.” Of course, I didn't get in in the end, and I felt awkward. After that, I decided never to audition again. I just took part in school plays when there were no auditions.

二、閱讀續(xù)寫開頭語,展開合理想象
基于文本和續(xù)寫段落首句提供的信息,采用圍繞中心提出相關(guān)問題的方法,構(gòu)思要續(xù)寫的故事情節(jié),一般分為四步:
第一步,根據(jù)已給出的文本判斷文章的立意。
根據(jù)文章的標(biāo)題“生命中的試演”以及所給出的文本可推斷出本文的立意應(yīng)是當(dāng)我們在向評委展示自己的才藝時(shí),即使表現(xiàn)不佳也不要有思想負(fù)擔(dān)。
第二步,根據(jù)續(xù)寫第二段所給出的段首句倒推續(xù)寫第一段應(yīng)包括什么內(nèi)容。
根據(jù)第二段的段首句“幾天后,讓我吃驚的是,我收到了藝術(shù)學(xué)校的錄取通知書”可知,續(xù)寫第一段要寫“我再次參加試演的過程”,這樣才能確保續(xù)寫的兩段是相銜接的。
第三步,圍繞續(xù)寫第一段所給出的段首句以及上面的分析進(jìn)行提問構(gòu)思:
(1)Did the author audition for the art school in high school?
(2)Why did the author decide to audition for the art school again?
(3)How did the author finish the audition?
第四步,圍繞續(xù)寫第二段所給出的段首句進(jìn)行提問構(gòu)思:

三、潤色成篇
在續(xù)寫的過程中要注意情節(jié)連貫、各部分內(nèi)容相銜接,即:1. 兩段的續(xù)寫與所給短文的銜接;2. 每段的續(xù)寫與續(xù)寫段首句之間的銜接;3. 續(xù)寫的兩段之間的銜接。 同時(shí)要注意語言風(fēng)格的一致和語法、句型以及所用詞語的準(zhǔn)確性。 比如,刻畫人物形象時(shí)運(yùn)用恰當(dāng)?shù)男稳菰~使其栩栩如生;描寫人物心理活動時(shí)使用一些動詞或副詞使其細(xì)微深入。
