Switzerland is renowned the world over for the quality of its chocolate. However, people in the Swiss town of Olten got the surprise on August 14th when it started snowing chocolate. Some locals wondered if the brown dusting was a bizarre1 consequence2 of climate3 change. However, all became clear after the local chocolate factory said the brown shower was the result of a malfunction4 at its factory. The chocolate dust was blown over the town. Many parts of the town were covered in a fine layer of light brown, milk-chocolate- flavoured dust. It was harmless to human health and the environment. It led to a lot of banter5 on social media. A Twitter user wrote, “Chocolate snowflakes falling from the sky, dreams do come true.” Another tweeter wrote, “Im dreaming of a brown Christmas.”
