英國駐華大使吳百納訪問重慶 在“黃金時代”打造更多“黃金成果”

2018年6月7日至8日，英國駐華大使吳百納來渝訪問，努力推動英國與重慶市在“一帶一路”和中英“黃金時代”背景下的多元化、全方位交流合作。重慶市市長唐良智會見吳百納，就雙邊關(guān)系、經(jīng)貿(mào)和文化交流等領(lǐng)域進一步深入交談。吳百納表示，英國鼓勵和支持西南地區(qū)企業(yè)考慮將英國作為投資目的國，同時也為落戶中國西南地區(qū)的英國企業(yè)提供支持。

在渝期間，吳百納出席了英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館舉辦的“伊麗莎白女王生日慶典”招待會。吳百納和重慶市副市長潘毅琴見證了英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館與重慶市商務(wù)委員會工作備忘錄的簽署。雙方同意建立更有效的溝通機制，定期分享商務(wù)信息，幫助重慶和英國企業(yè)發(fā)現(xiàn)更多貿(mào)易和投資機會。

From June 7th to 8th， 2018， Barbara Woodward， Ambassador of the United Kingdom to China came to visit Chongqing and strived to promote the diversified and all-round exchanges and cooperation between the UK and Chongqing in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative and the “golden age” for China and Britain. Tang Liangzhi， mayor of Chongqing， met with Barbara Woodward for further talks on bilateral relations， economic and trade and cultural exchanges. Barbara Woodward said that the UK encourages companies in the southwest region to regard the United Kingdom as an investment destination and also supports British companies in locating in southwestern China.

During his stay in Chongqing， Barbara Woodward attended the “Queen Elisabeth’s Birthday Celebration” reception hosted by the British Consulate General in Chongqing. Barbara Woodward and Pan Yiqin， Vice Mayor of Chongqing were witnesses to the signature of work memorandum between British Consulate General in Chongqing and the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce. The two sides agreed to establish a more effective communication mechanism， regularly share business information， and help Chongqing and British companies explore more trade and investment opportunities.
