1國慶節(jié)即將來臨，我們一起來看看用英語怎么向外國友人介紹我們這個重要的節(jié)日吧。

Oct.1st is the National Day of China. In 1949 Oct.1st, it was the first year of the national day of China. At that time, people were very happy, because China has been free and the war has just stopped. Then every year of this day, people put the national flag out to celebrate.

10月1日是中國的國慶節(jié)，1949年10月1日，是中國的第一年國慶節(jié)。在那時候，人們非常高興，因為中國從此自由了，戰(zhàn)爭已經(jīng)停止了。所以每年的這天，人們升起國旗慶祝。

The national holiday lasts seven days and most workers are given time off to visit relatives and take time for traveling.

全國公共假期7天，很多人會選擇這時候探望親友或是旅行。

When the anniversary is a multiple of five (e.g. the 50th, 55th, or 60th), large scale official celebrations may be held, including an inspection of troops on Tian’anmen Square.

當(dāng)周年的年份是五的倍數(shù)時（如50,55，或60），將會舉行大規(guī)模的官方慶典，包括在天安門廣場舉行閱兵儀式。

2作為一名中國人，我們要有強烈的愛國心，下面我們學(xué)習(xí)一些與愛國相關(guān)的表達吧。

Gold is indeed valuable, but full of vitality and brave patriots are more precious than gold.

黃金誠然是寶貴的，但是生氣勃勃、勇敢的愛國者卻比黃金更寶貴。

Arise, Ye who do not want to be slaves, with our flesh and blood build up our new Great Wall!

With patience, rather die for my country.

To worry before the common people worries; to enjoy only after the people can enjoy.

Patriotism is the lifeblood of a country.

愛國之心，實為一國之命脈。

Unite and revitalize China!

團結(jié)起來，振興中華！

Bright China, let my life burn for you.

光明的中國，讓我的生命為你燃燒吧。

The highest human spirit is patriotism.

人類的最高精神面就是愛國。

Better a tramp, not conquered.

寧做流浪漢，不做亡國奴。
