Paper,pencils,whiteboards,textbooks are the tools you need if you want to go to school.But recently,you can add another one to the list:an iPad.

Because the popular Apple tablet is not only useful for searching the Internet and watching videos,but also being used to make learning fun.

Scientists now know that we will learn better when we are enjoying ourselves,so recently software developers have made iPad applications that look like video games,but have strong educational content.One of the best examples of this new form of teaching application is Futaba,a game in which up to four children try to recognize a spinning(旋轉(zhuǎn)的)object,and then identify what it is.The game can be used to teach English,math,foreign languages,or just about anything,and students love it.Teachers can even make their own questions.The important thing is that children enjoy the game,and don't even realize how much they are learning!

So the next time you have to choose between making your child study and letting them play a game,just remember—they could do both at the same time!

1.Because the popular Apple tablet is not only useful for searching the Internet and watching videos,but also being used to make learning fun.因?yàn)槭軞g迎的蘋果平板電腦不僅對(duì)上網(wǎng)和看錄像有用，而且它也正被用來使學(xué)習(xí)變得有趣。

(1)not only...,but(also)...意思是“不但……，而且……”，屬于并列連詞詞組，可以連接句子中兩個(gè)相同的成分。如果并列兩個(gè)主語，謂語動(dòng)詞在人稱和數(shù)的使用方面應(yīng)采用“就近原則”。如果放于句首并列兩個(gè)句子，則第一個(gè)句子要用倒裝語序。

(2)use....to do sth.意思是“用……來做某事”；be used to do sth.“被用來做某事”；be used to doing sth.“習(xí)慣做某事”；be used by sb.“被某人使用”；be being used是現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí)的被動(dòng)語態(tài)，意為“正被使用”。

that引導(dǎo)的是賓語從句，其中又包含when引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語從句；enjoy oneself是固定詞組搭配，意思是“過得快樂；玩得開心”。

(1)make sb.do sth.意為“使某人做某事”，make是使役動(dòng)詞，后邊的do sth.是省略了to的動(dòng)詞不定式短語，作賓語sb.的補(bǔ)足語。類似的動(dòng)詞還有l(wèi)et(讓),have(叫)等。

(2)between...and...意思是“在……和……之間”，后接名詞、代詞或者動(dòng)名詞等。
