Oklahoma Police Chief Tickets Himself for Speeding

The police chief of a small northeast Oklahoma community says he issued1 himself a citation2 for speeding， but only after being caught on video.

Sperry Police Chief Justin Burch posted an apology on the departments Facebook page Saturday， saying he was “wrong in traveling at 75 to 80 mph”.

Burch admits hes not sure he would have issued the ticket if not for the video， and that he had a “reason for being in a hurry”. Nonetheless， he admits he must “be held accountable3”.

Burch says he wrote himself the more than $300 ticket and that hell pay it in full.

俄克拉荷馬州東北部一個小社區(qū)的警長給自己發(fā)了一張超速的罰單，但是是在他被視頻抓拍到之后。

周六，斯佩里警長賈斯汀·伯奇在警察局的臉書頁面上發(fā)布道歉聲明說：“開車時速75到80英里是犯錯”。

Ohio Man Turns in $14，000 Found on Side of Road

An Ohio man says he was trying to set a good example for his children when he turned in $14，000 he found on the side of the road.

Jake Bowers found the money on April 8 as he drove his family to a park in Worthington， a Columbus suburb.

Bowers said when he initially saw the bag on the roadside， he thought it might contain someones laptop. Instead， it was filled with $100 bills.

Bowers took the bag to the Worthington police station， and it was returned to its owner.

A police report says the owner had taken the cash to a car dealer but left without buying a vehicle. He told police he must have left it on top of his car and driven off.

警方的一則報道稱，失主帶著現(xiàn)金去一個車商那里，但是他走的時候，沒有買車。失主告訴警方，肯定是他把包忘在了車頂上，然后開車走了。

Topeka Firefighters Rescue Cat Caught in Tree and Its Owner

托皮卡消防員救貓及其主人

Firefighters in Kansas rescued a cat from a tree. They also rescued its owner.

The woman climbed the tree Wednesday trying to get to her cat but she wasnt able to get back down.

Topeka Fire Department Shift Commander Todd Williams says the woman and her cat were about 16 feet up in a large tree when they were plucked out.

Whats more， he says such rescues arent that uncommon in Topeka.

The cat owners name wasnt released.
