偉大的中國藝術(shù)家齊白石

Qi Baishi， one of the ten artists of the twentieth century， the world cultural celebrities1， is one of the most talented artists in the Chinese history. He was born in 1864 in Xiangtan County， Hunan Province. He was a carpenter2 in this early youth， and he taught himself painting， poetry and handwriting in his spare time. When he was young， he left home five times to travel around famous mountains， lakes and rivers throughout the country and painted lots of landscapes3. Qi Baishi didnt have any formal education or training in the field of art； however， he managed to master many different techniques4.

齊白石，二十世紀(jì)十大畫家之一，世界文化名人，也是中國歷史上最有才華的藝術(shù)家之一。1864年，他出生于湖南省湘潭縣。少年時期，他做過木匠，閑暇時間里他自學(xué)繪畫、作詩和書法。青年時期他先后五次離家外出，遍游名山大川并作畫。齊白石并沒有在藝術(shù)領(lǐng)域接受過任何正式的教育或訓(xùn)練，然而，他卻成功地掌握了多種作畫技巧。

In 1918 he settled in Beijing and lived by his painting and handwriting. Most of the sub jects he painted were flowers， birds， insects and fish. Among all his paints， Qi Baishis shrimp5 is most famous. They are lifelike. In 1928 he began to sign his name to his paintings as Baishi， which means “snowy mountains”. During his lifetime he painted countless6 numbers of flowers and birds. He changed his painting style several times before settle down finally to create his own unique7 style.

1918年，他定居北京，以繪畫與書法為生，他畫的作品主題以花、鳥、蟲、魚為主。在他所有的繪畫作品中，他畫的蝦栩栩如生，是最著名的。1928年他開始在畫卷上署名“白石”，寓意“雪山”。他一生所繪花鳥無數(shù)，并多次改變自己的作畫風(fēng)格，最后形成了他自己獨特的作畫風(fēng)格。

Qi Baishis representative8 works include Shrimp， Crab， Peony， Morning Glory and so on. The reason why people like his works is that his works express deep national feelings. In 1955， Qi Baishi was awarded the International Peace Prize because of his contribution in the art of painting. Qi Baishi died in 1957 at the age of 93.

齊白石的代表作品有《蝦》《蟹》《牡丹》《牽牛花》等。人們之所以喜歡他的繪畫是因為他的作品表達了深厚的民族情感。1955年，齊白石因在繪畫藝術(shù)方面的卓越貢獻而被授予國際和平獎。1957年，齊白石在北京去世，享年93歲。
