As one of China’s most successful IT companies,Tencent has won millions of supporters in its native country with its popular products such as games,QQ and Wechat.Compared with its elder brother QQ,it seems that Wechat is being welcomed by more and more users，especially young people.

Wechat is designed for the mobile and scanning the code is one function that is popular.By scanning the barcodes,we can get information about the goods and receive discount messages from the store owner.It is really helpful for the consumers to get to know the goods.What else can a barcode do?A Japanese company will tell you more.

A Japanese city is keeping track of elderly dementia sufferers by attaching barcodes containing personal information to their fingers and toes,officials say.

A company in Iruma,near Tokyo,has developed a tagging system for members of the public at risk of getting lost.

The 1cm(0.4in)square stickers hold an address,telephone number and unique identity number for each user.

The technology allows police to obtain contact telephone numbers and personal details,simply by scanning the code.

位于日本東京附近的一座城市正在通過在老年癡呆病人的腳趾和手指上貼條形碼來對(duì)他們進(jìn)行跟蹤定位，以防老人走丟。這些一平方厘米大小的條形碼上包含了家庭住址、電話號(hào)碼、身份證明等個(gè)人信息。該技術(shù)授權(quán)警察通過掃碼獲取這些個(gè)人信息。
