本文會(huì)讀兩遍，第一遍為正常語速，第二遍為慢速英語。

STEP 1：合上雜志先聽一遍（正常語速），理解文章大意。

Whileon vacationin one of the 1._isles, a wealthy businessman was taking a morningstroll[漫步，閑逛]along the beach after breakfast.He arrived at apier[碼頭]just as a small boat wasdocking[入港].Inside thevessel[船], was a young fisherman with two freshly caught tuna fsh.

The businessmancomplimented[稱贊]the fisherman 2._the quality of the fish, asking how long it had taken him to catch them.The fsherman said, “Oh, not so long.”

Then the businessman asked why didn’t he stay out longer and catch more fish, to 3._the fisherman replied that two fsh were enough to support his family’s needs for the day.

“So what do you do with the rest of your day?”

The fisherman said, “Well, Isleep in, I fish a little in the morning, then eat lunch with my 4._wife, take a nice longnap[小睡]in the afternoon, and thenwander[游蕩，漫步]down into the village each evening to drink wine with my friends and have a few 5._.”

The fisherman thought about this for a moment, and then asked how long it would take.“About 20 years,” the businessman replied.

“And then what?” asked the fsherman.

The businessman laughed.“That’s the best part.At just the right time, you can announce an IPO, sell yourstock[股票]to the public, and 8._millions.You’ll be rich!”

“Rich, huh? And then what?”

The businessman replied, “And then you can retire and 9._to a small village near the 10._, where you can sleep in, fsh a little in the morning, eat lunch with your lovely wife, take a nice long nap in the afternoon, and then go into the village to drink wine with your friends and have a few laughs.”
