Lantern Festival（元宵節(jié)），是中國的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日之一。Teddy，Kitty， Nicky 和Puppy 也來和大家一起過節(jié)了。同學(xué)們，快來和他們一起觀燈、猜燈謎吧！
否定句中的or
Teddy，Kitty和 Nicky一鼓作氣，猜中了好多燈謎，獎品把口袋撐得鼓鼓的。可是，Puppy望著眼前的這條謎語，一副冥思苦想的樣子：
I have big eyes and a big body.
I have no legs or arms，but I have a big tail.
I can swim.
Who am I？
Teddy：不會吧，聰明的Puppy居然被難倒了？
Nicky：謎底是“fish（魚）”呀！
Puppy：這我當(dāng)然知道啦，只是我不明白“ I have no legs or arms.（我沒有腿和胳膊。）”為什么用or，不用and呢？
Kitty：or用于否定句中，代替and，表示“和”的意思。如：
1. There is no air or water on the moon.
月球上沒有空氣和水。
2. I don’t like bread，rice or porridge.
我不喜歡面包、米飯和粥。
另一個：teh other
Kitty： 哇，好美的燈籠！猜對了燈謎就能帶回家。
Teddy：說說“the other”的意思和用法，并舉一個例子。
Puppy：這太簡單了！the other指兩個人或物中的另一個。如：
1. I have two goldfish. One is red，the other is black.
我有兩條金魚。一條是紅色的，另一條是黑色的。
2. He has two daughters. One is a nurse，the other is a teacher.
他有兩個女兒。一個是護(hù)士，另一個是老師。
Nicky：the other后面可以加單數(shù)名詞，也可以加復(fù)數(shù)名詞。如：
1. On the other side of the street，there is a tall tree.
在街道的另一邊，有一棵大樹。
2. Mary is much taller than the other girls.
瑪麗比其他的女孩高得多。
使讓動詞：let

Nicky：let表示使/讓某人或者某物做什么事，它后面的動詞要用原形。
Puppy：let sb.do sth. 讓某人做某事，如：
1. Let us go shopping.
讓我們一起去購物吧。
2. Let the old woman get on the bus first.
讓這位老婦人先上車。
