● 吳康明會見匈牙利駐重慶總領(lǐng)事及美國駐成都總領(lǐng)事

2月16日，市政府外事僑務(wù)辦主任吳康明在市外事大樓會見了匈牙利駐重慶總領(lǐng)事羅瀾一行。吳康明對匈牙利駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館卓有成效的工作表示贊賞，并就與匈牙利總領(lǐng)事館合作推動相關(guān)工作提出了建議。羅瀾感謝市政府外事僑務(wù)辦一直以來給予匈牙利總領(lǐng)事館的支持和幫助，并介紹了匈牙利總領(lǐng)事館新一年的工作計(jì)劃。雙方就推動高層訪問、加大在匈牙利宣傳重慶的力度、促進(jìn)匈牙利與重慶在經(jīng)貿(mào)、文化、體育等領(lǐng)域的合作項(xiàng)目交換了意見，達(dá)成了諸多共識。

當(dāng)日，吳康明在市外事大樓還會見了美國駐成都總領(lǐng)事谷立言一行。吳康明對谷立言到訪表示歡迎，他簡要介紹了重慶市經(jīng)濟(jì)社會發(fā)展情況，回顧了我市與美國在高層交往、經(jīng)貿(mào)往來、文化教育、友城交流等方面開展的合作。谷立言表示，重慶良好的經(jīng)濟(jì)社會發(fā)展和便利的交通吸引了越來越多美國企業(yè)的關(guān)注，今年3月即將開通的重慶至洛杉磯直航必將大力加強(qiáng)渝美兩地人員往來和各領(lǐng)域交流合作。

重慶市公民和企業(yè)機(jī)構(gòu)海外安全保障工作會議。

2月14日，市政府外事僑務(wù)辦召開重慶市公民和企業(yè)機(jī)構(gòu)海外安全保障工作會議。會議由市政府外事僑務(wù)辦副主任唐文主持。市文明辦、市發(fā)展改革委、市經(jīng)濟(jì)信息委、市教委、市商務(wù)委、市公安局、市國安局、市國資委、市工商局、市旅游局等市級相關(guān)部門負(fù)責(zé)人，以及十八冶、外建集團(tuán)等重點(diǎn)“走出去”企業(yè)負(fù)責(zé)人參會。

會議認(rèn)真總結(jié)了2016年我市開展海外領(lǐng)事保護(hù)工作的有效做法，研究了當(dāng)前我市相關(guān)工作存在的問題和困難，針對旅游、留學(xué)、對外勞務(wù)等重點(diǎn)領(lǐng)域的海外安全保障工作提出了工作要求，進(jìn)一步明確了當(dāng)前我市相關(guān)部門、相關(guān)領(lǐng)域推進(jìn)公民和企業(yè)機(jī)構(gòu)海外安全保障工作的任務(wù)和目標(biāo)。市政府外事僑務(wù)辦將牢固樹立“外事為民”思想，不斷完善機(jī)制、抓好統(tǒng)籌、形成合力，切實(shí)做好我市公民和企業(yè)機(jī)構(gòu)海外安全保障工作。

● 楊大慶會見日本重慶同鄉(xiāng)會會長鄧荻

1月24日，市政府外事僑務(wù)辦副主任楊大慶會見日本重慶同鄉(xiāng)會會長鄧荻一行。鄧荻介紹，此次回渝一是探親，同時報(bào)告一下重慶同鄉(xiāng)會配合中日邦交正?；?5周年的活動安排；二是感謝市外僑辦對海外僑領(lǐng)在渝直系親屬的關(guān)心和關(guān)愛，讓海外游子感受到祖國的溫暖和家鄉(xiāng)的情誼。楊大慶表示，這些年日本重慶同鄉(xiāng)會為中日民間友好交流作出了應(yīng)有的貢獻(xiàn)，同時籌集善款支持家鄉(xiāng)教育發(fā)展。市政府外事僑務(wù)辦將繼續(xù)支持日本重慶同鄉(xiāng)會做好中日文化交流平臺，預(yù)?！爸腥沼押帽逼古仪蛸悎A滿成功，歡迎同鄉(xiāng)會會員?；丶铱纯础?/p>

2月15日，市政府外事僑務(wù)辦副主任唐文在市外事大樓與埃塞俄比亞駐重慶總領(lǐng)事科布德·阿貝拉·艾杜進(jìn)行了工作會談。

唐文說，今年是埃塞俄比亞駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館開館五周年。五年來，總領(lǐng)館為推動重慶與埃塞俄比亞的交流合作發(fā)揮了重要作用，希望總領(lǐng)館繼續(xù)積極推動雙方各領(lǐng)域的合作。科布德·阿貝拉·艾杜表示愿意和市政府外事僑務(wù)辦共同努力，繼續(xù)深化、鞏固渝埃雙方已有合作，并不斷拓展合作領(lǐng)域。

雙方就2017年推動重慶與亞的斯亞貝巴結(jié)好、開通渝埃兩地直航、黃金加工、咖啡進(jìn)口及相關(guān)技術(shù)轉(zhuǎn)移、油籽進(jìn)口加工、重慶企業(yè)赴埃投資、高校合作、留學(xué)生交流等具體項(xiàng)目交換了意見，達(dá)成了諸多共識。

● 中國大西南英國聯(lián)誼會舉行慶新春活動

2月5日，英國重慶商會組織部分旅居英國的重慶老鄉(xiāng)在倫敦參加了2017年中國大西南聯(lián)誼會慶新春火鍋宴活動。來自中國渝、川、云、貴的逾百名同鄉(xiāng)及外國友人共聚一堂，在熱鬧的火鍋宴、精彩的歌舞表演、家鄉(xiāng)歷史文化知識有獎競猜以及驚喜不斷的抽獎環(huán)節(jié)中，共賀新春，共敘鄉(xiāng)情。

英國重慶商會會長胡敏代表重慶籍老鄉(xiāng)給與會者拜年，并向在座的中外來賓介紹了重慶作為中國最年輕的直轄市所具有的優(yōu)勢及活力。此外，活動現(xiàn)場還宣讀了來自重慶市政府外事僑務(wù)辦的新春賀詞。

在聯(lián)歡賀新春的同時，大家還就中英關(guān)系“黃金時代”所帶來的機(jī)遇進(jìn)行了交流，希望能發(fā)揮自身的海外優(yōu)勢，積極參與英國方面與重慶等地的經(jīng)貿(mào)、文化交流。

Wu Kangming met with Consul General of Hungary in Chongqing and Consul General of US in Chengdu

On February 16, Wu Kangming, director of the Foreign and Oversea Chinese Affairs Offi ce of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, met with Mr. Lóránd Dióssi, Consul General of the Hungarian Embassy in Chongqing and his party in Chongqing Municipal Foreign Affairs Building. Wu Kangming expressed his appreciation for the fruitful work contributed by Consulate General of Hungary in Chongqing and made suggestions on promoting the work in cooperation with the Hungarian Consulate General. Mr. Lóránd Dióssi thanked the Foreign and Oversea Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government for their support and assistance to Hungarian Consulate General and introduced the work plan of Hungarian Consulate Genera in the new year. The two sides exchanged views on promoting high-level visits, enhancing the efforts of promoting Chongqing in Hungary, as well as advancing the cooperation between Hungary and Chongqing in the fields of economy, trade, culture and sports, and reached a lot of consensus at last.

On the same day, Wu Kangming met with Raymond Greene, the US Consul General in Chengdu and his party. Wu Kangming fi rstly welcomed the visit of Raymond Greene, then briefed the economic and social development of Chongqing, and reviewed the cooperation between Chongqing and the United States in fi elds of high-level exchanges, economic and trade exchanges, cultural education and friendly exchanges. Raymond Greene said that the favorable economic and social development and convenient transportation of Chongqing have attracted more and more US companies. In March of this year, direct flights to be opened from Chongqing to Los Angeles will vigorously strengthen the personnel exchanges, exchanges and cooperation in various fi elds.

On February 14, the Foreign and Oversea Chinese Affairs Offi ce of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government held a meeting on the safety security of the overseas Chongqing citizens, enterprises and institutions. The meeting was chaired by Tang Wen, deputy director of the Foreign and Oversea Chinese Affairs Offi ce of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government. Principals of relevant departments from Chongqing Civil Affairs Bureau, Chongqing Development and Reform Commission, Chongqing Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Chongqing Education Commission, Chongqing Commerce Commission, Chongqing Public Security Bureau, Chongqing SASAC(State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission), Chongqing Administration of Industry and Commerce, Chongqing Tourism Bureau, and business leaders from China 18th Metallurgical Construction Co.,Ltd., Chongqing International Construction Corporation and other key “going out” enterprises attended the meeting.

Effective practices of overseas consular protection carried out by Chongqing in the year of 2016 have been summed up at the meeting. Problems and diffi culties existing in the relevant work have been studied. Requirements have been put forward for overseas safety security in key areas such as tourism, study abroad and foreign labor service. Current tasks and objectives of the relevant departments and relevant fields in promoting overseas security of the citizens and enterprises have been further clarifi ed. The Foreign and Oversea Chinese Affairs Offi ce of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government will firmly stick to the principle of “foreign affairs for the people”, constantly improve the mechanism, do a good job of co-ordination, form a concerted effort to well carry out the safety security of our overseas citizens and enterprises.

Yang Daqing met with Deng Di, President of Chongqing Townsmen Association in Japan

On January 24, Yang Daqing, deputy director of the Foreign and Oversea Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, met with Deng Di, president of the Chongqing Townsmen Association in Japan. Deng Di introduced that the return to Chongqing was to visit relatives and report the activity arrangement of Chongqing Townsmen Association in the cooperation with the 45th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan firstly; secondly, the return was to thank the Foreign and Oversea Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government for their cares for the immediate family members of oversea influential leaders and their efforts that have made oversea Chinese feel the warmth of the motherland and the friendship with the homeland. Yang Daqing said that Chongqing Townsmen Association in Japan have made due contributions to the friendly popular exchanges and raised money to support the development of hometown education in these years. The Foreign and Oversea Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government will continue to support Chongqing Townsmen Association in Japan to well establish Sino-Japanese cultural exchange platform, wish the“Sino-Japanese Friendship Cup” Table Tennis Match a complete success and welcome the frequent returns of fellow members of Chongqing Townsmen Association to Chongqing.

Tang Wen, deputy Director-General of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Offi ce of Chongqing Municipal People's Government (CQFOCAO), held work discussion with Kebede Abera Ido, Consul-General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Chongqing at Chongqing Foreign Affairs building on Feb. 15th, 2017.

Tang Wen said, this year marked the 5-year anniversary of the establishment of Ethiopia Consulate General in Chongqing. In the past 5 years, the Consulate General played a great role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between Chongqing and Ethiopia, and we hope the Consulate General could do the work continually. Kebede Abera Ido indicated that he was willing to work together with CQFOCAO for deepening, consolidating the existed cooperation and expanding cooperation fi elds.

Both sides exchanged ideas on promoting specific cooperation projects in 2017 and reached consensuses. The projects including establishing sister-city relationship between Chongqing and Addis Ababa, opening direct fl ights between Chongqing and Ethiopia, gold processing, coffee importing and relevant technique exchange, oilseed importing and processing, Chongqing enterprises investing in Ethiopia, cooperation between universities, international students exchange, and etc.

The Southwest Sodality of China in United Kingdom celebrated the Spring Festival

On February 5, the Chongqing Chamber of Commerce in British have organized part of Chongqing townsmen in British to participate in the hot pot feast activities for the Southwest Sodality of China in United Kingdom to celebrate the Spring Festival of 2017. About 100 townsmen from Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunan, Guizhou and foreign friends got together to celebrate the Spring Festival and share the nostalgia while enjoying the lively hot pot feast, wonderful song and dance performances, prizes quiz of hometown history and culture knowledge and lottery draw full of surprises.

Hu Min, president of the Chongqing Chamber of Commerce in British made a ceremonial call on Spring Festival on behalf of Chongqing townsmen to the participants and introduced the advantages and vitality of Chongqing as China’s youngest municipality to the guests here. In addition, the Spring Festival greetings from the Foreign and Oversea Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government has been read on the event site.

While celebrating the Spring Festival, participants have also exchanged views on the opportunities brought about by the “golden age” of Sino-British relations, hoping to play their own overseas advantages to actively participate in the economic and trade exchanges between Britain and Chongqing and other places.
