WMA DECLARATION OF GENEVA

AS A MEMBER OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION:

I SOLEMNLY PLEDGE to dedicate my life to the service of humanity;

THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF MY PATIENT will be my first consideration;

I WILL RESPECT the autonomy and dignity of my patient;

I WILL MAINTAIN the utmost respect for human life;

I WILL NOT PERMIT considerations of age, disease or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, social standing or any other factor to intervene between my duty and my patient;

I WILL RESPECT the secrets that are confided in me, even after the patient has died;

I WILL PRACTISE my profession with conscience and dignity and in accordance with good medical practice;

I WILL FOSTER the honour and noble traditions of the medical profession;

I WILL GIVE to my teachers, colleagues, and students the respect and gratitude that is their due;

I WILL SHARE my medical knowledge for the benefit of the patient and the advancement of healthcare;

I WILL ATTEND TO my own health, well-being, and abilities in order to provide care of the highest standard;

I WILL NOT USE my medical knowledge to violate human rights and civil liberties, even under threat;

I MAKE THESE PROMISES solemnly, freely and upon my honour.

作為醫(yī)學(xué)界的一員，

我莊嚴(yán)宣誓，為服務(wù)人類而獻(xiàn)身；

我將患者的健康和福祉置于首位；

我將尊重患者的自主權(quán)和尊嚴(yán)；

我將保持對(duì)人類生命的最大尊重；

我將不容許年齡、疾病或殘疾、信仰、民族、性別、國(guó)籍、政治立場(chǎng)、種族、性取向、社會(huì)地位或其他任何因素干預(yù)我的職責(zé)和我的患者；

我將尊重所寄托給我的秘密，即使患者死后；

我將以良知、尊嚴(yán)和高尚的行為踐行我的職業(yè)；

我將維護(hù)醫(yī)學(xué)的榮譽(yù)和高尚的傳統(tǒng)；

我將給予我的老師、同事和學(xué)生應(yīng)有的尊敬和感謝；

我將為了患者利益和醫(yī)療進(jìn)步分享我的醫(yī)學(xué)知識(shí)；

我將照料自身健康，維持能力，以提供最高質(zhì)量的服務(wù)；

我不會(huì)利用我的醫(yī)學(xué)知識(shí)侵犯人權(quán)和公民自由，即使受到威脅；

我鄭重地、自愿地做出這些承諾，以我的名譽(yù)擔(dān)保。
