Albert was an ordinary2worker in an oil company in America.His workmates gave a nickname3“four dollars a bucket of oil”below his name whenever and wherever he wrote down his name.

As time went by，people forgot his real name.Later，when Rockefeller，the board chairman4of the oil company，heard of it，he was very surprised，so he invited Albert to come to his office.

“Some people give you a nickname for‘four dollars a bucket'.Why aren't you angry？”asked Rockefeller with some puzzlement5in his eyes.

“Oh！Mr.Rockefeller！I like this nickname very much，because‘four dollars a bucket of a oil'is our company's ad.As long as someone calls me‘four dollars a bucket of oil'once，I think it's free ad for our company.It's not necessary for me to get angry.Don't you think so，Mr.Rockefeller？”

“Oh！What a smart man！”Rockefeller said excitedly when hearing Albert's words“Young man！Work harder，you must be successful in the future！I believe in you！”

Five years later，Albert became the second board chairman after Rockefeller.

Later Albert said in one of his reports，“I don't think we should feel frustrated6when we have no way to do the world-shaking things.We should treat everything actively7because maybe our future success will begin from a small thing！”

阿爾伯特是美國(guó)一家石油公司的一名普通工人，無(wú)論何時(shí)何地他寫自己的名字，同事們都會(huì)在下面加一個(gè)外號(hào)：“四美元一桶石油”。

時(shí)光流逝，人們忘記了他的真名。后來(lái)，當(dāng)美國(guó)石油公司董事長(zhǎng)洛克菲勒聽說(shuō)了這件事情，他很是驚訝，于是他邀請(qǐng)阿爾伯特去他的辦公室。

“有人給你起了一個(gè)‘四美元一桶石油'的外號(hào)，你為什么不生氣？”洛克菲勒眼神中帶著一些困惑。

“嗯，洛克菲勒先生，我喜歡這個(gè)外號(hào)，因?yàn)椤拿涝煌笆?是我們公司的廣告。只要人們叫我一次‘四美元一桶石油'，我認(rèn)為這就是我們公司的免費(fèi)廣告。我沒有必要為此生氣。難道你不這樣認(rèn)為嗎，洛克菲勒先生？”

“??！多么聰明的一個(gè)人?。　甭牭竭@里，洛克菲勒激動(dòng)地說(shuō)，“年輕人，如果你更加努力，未來(lái)一定會(huì)成功！我相信你！”

五年以后，阿爾伯特成為了洛克菲勒之后的第二任董事長(zhǎng)。

后來(lái)，阿爾伯特在他的一次報(bào)告會(huì)上說(shuō)：“我認(rèn)為，當(dāng)我們無(wú)法做出震驚世界的事情的時(shí)候，我們不應(yīng)該覺得沮喪。我們應(yīng)該積極地對(duì)待每一件事情，因?yàn)椋蛟S我們的成功將開始于一件小事。”
