The Wall Street Journal reported that Google is in talks with the Chinese government and manufacturers to launch a new Android app store in China.Google’s Android system is the world’s most popular smartphone operating system, but is not authorized in the Chinese market. Google has been out of the Chinese market for five years. The Wall Street Journal also reported that Google hopes to release a new phone by the end of the year to the Chinese market.

China’s love affair with Apple continues as the company is reported to have sold over 1.07 million Apple Watches in China, according to Talking Data. CEO Tim Cook said in July that first quarter Apple Watch sales had exceeded “internal expectations.” The Apple Watch is now available in 19 countries. Beijing’s Talking Data is an app monitoring platform that collects big data. Over 80,000 apps use Talking Data including We Chat, which has one billion registered users and 540 million monthly active users.

Foreign companies with branches in China, and individuals studying or working in China can now purchase property in the PRC. Property can be purchased according to need, for individual or company use. The new policy statement was jointly released by the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development Reform Commission, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, People’s Bank of China, and other related institutions.
