摘 要: 本文以倒裝句的實(shí)際應(yīng)用教學(xué)為例,嘗試采用話題式語法教學(xué)策略及A R C教學(xué)法,力求擺脫語法教學(xué)費(fèi)時低效現(xiàn)象,真正實(shí)現(xiàn)有效教學(xué),提高學(xué)生的語言能力。

一、問題的提出
長期以來,在中學(xué)英語語法教學(xué)中,教與學(xué)的手段和方法較單一,注重對規(guī)則的詳細(xì)講解及大量機(jī)械化的訓(xùn)練,學(xué)生的學(xué)停留在語言知識的層面,不能內(nèi)化成技能,因此,面對枯燥晦澀的語法規(guī)則,他們總感到興趣索然,導(dǎo)致語法教學(xué)一直存在費(fèi)時低效的現(xiàn)象,學(xué)生不能真正提高語言能力。
二、理論依據(jù)
余文森教授提出了能力導(dǎo)向的有效教學(xué),有效的內(nèi)容表現(xiàn)在能力的變化、提升和發(fā)展上,而不是簡單的知識獲得和掌握。趙大中(2013)提出“基于話題設(shè)計(jì)”的語法教學(xué)模式,即“根據(jù)所學(xué)語法選擇合適話題,設(shè)計(jì)綜合的交流任務(wù),使學(xué)生有機(jī)會辨認(rèn)、運(yùn)用所學(xué)語法知識,在綜合語言實(shí)踐活動中提高語法技能,并形成綜合語言運(yùn)用能力”(程嵐等,2012)。英國語言學(xué)家Jim Scrivener在Learning Teaching:A Guidebook for English Language Teachers一書中介紹了A R C教學(xué)法,即語法學(xué)習(xí)一般需要通過呈現(xiàn)(Clarification and focus)、鞏固(Restricted use)和活用(Authentic use),才能真正會用。筆者以北師大版Module8Unit23Lesson1Grammer倒裝句的實(shí)際應(yīng)用教學(xué)為例,嘗試采用話題式語法教學(xué)策略及A R C教學(xué)法,希望學(xué)生流利地運(yùn)用倒裝句,使語法知識上升為語言能力,與此同時,對學(xué)生進(jìn)行愛校、拼搏、友愛等情感態(tài)度價值觀的教育。
三、實(shí)施過程
首先,學(xué)生角色表演Lesson One Drummer hits the road,調(diào)動大家參與的序幕,并自然地引出學(xué)生熟悉的倒裝句話題,實(shí)現(xiàn)教學(xué)預(yù)熱。然后,圍繞倒裝句的實(shí)際應(yīng)用,精心設(shè)計(jì)三個話題進(jìn)行語法呈現(xiàn)歸納鞏固及應(yīng)用。
1. Presentation: Read and find out the basic rules.
①At the foot of Shigu Mountain stands our school. ②Never before have I seen such a beautiful school. ③Not only are the teachers hard-working but also kind-hearted. ④Not only do the students work hard but also they obey the rules. ⑤In class,they can’t make noise,neither can they sleep. ⑥If you have any problems,you can ask the headmaster for help,so can we. ⑦Were I you,I would choose No.1 Middle School. ⑧Only when you choose it will you succeed. ⑨So much do I love my school that I will never forget it. ⑩Young as we are,we know what we should do for our future.
(話題1:呈現(xiàn)學(xué)校總體情況“景美人美”及“選擇一中選擇成功”的口號。會心一笑中,學(xué)生討論并總結(jié)所學(xué)過的規(guī)則,課堂進(jìn)展有熱度。)
2. Consolidation: Rewrite to make the passage sound more emphatic.
Xiao Li was my classmate. Although he is poor,he is warm-hearted. He not only studies very well,but also likes helping others. That day,while I was doing my homework.,I found the math problem was so difficult that I couldn’t work it out.. My deskmate couldn’t,either. I had hardly given it up when Ii came to me. Finally,I finished my homework only with his help. I was so grateful to him that I gave him a big hug. I have never met such a poor but kind-hearted man .If he hadn’t helped me. I wouldn’t have finished my homework so perfectly.
(話題2:呈現(xiàn)學(xué)生進(jìn)取互助精神。在熟悉的話題中,通過改句對倒裝句進(jìn)行鞏固,使難點(diǎn)突破有梯度。)
3. Application:Make as many reverted sentences as possible after observing the pictures.
(話題3:引導(dǎo)學(xué)生觀察一組簡筆畫——學(xué)生踢球鬧矛盾,最終在老師幫助下得以解決;對接受的信息進(jìn)行加工內(nèi)化,用倒裝句寫作。最后,老師對學(xué)生當(dāng)堂展示的作品進(jìn)行點(diǎn)撥:語言形式流利度及表達(dá)的完整性,以期提高認(rèn)知能力,達(dá)到有厚度的語言輸出,并且達(dá)到為下一課聽力內(nèi)容——解決矛盾的教學(xué)進(jìn)行鋪墊。)
四、結(jié)語
本課圍繞“話題引領(lǐng)”的活動內(nèi)容,采用A R C教學(xué)法,從學(xué)生熟悉的學(xué)習(xí)生活中編造素材,實(shí)現(xiàn)交際的真實(shí)性,調(diào)動學(xué)生的參與性,消除純語法教學(xué)的無聊感,有學(xué)生表演討論歸納時呈現(xiàn)的熱度,鞏固時難點(diǎn)突破有梯度,寫作時語言輸出有厚度,提高語言能力,并通過三個話題激發(fā)學(xué)生愛校、拼搏、團(tuán)結(jié)的品質(zhì),實(shí)現(xiàn)知識、技能和情感等多維目標(biāo),同時為下堂課進(jìn)行鋪墊。
