      1 從臨水露臺望向餐廳、客房以及天臺吧/View from the riverfront deck to the restaurants, the bedrooms and the rooftop bar

      薩拉·拉塔納科辛酒店是薩拉水療度假區(qū)的一個(gè)建筑改造項(xiàng)目。設(shè)計(jì)的任務(wù)是將原本1500m2、包含7間店屋的老建筑翻新成一家特色精品酒店,設(shè)有17間客房以及餐廳、露臺、室內(nèi)酒吧和天臺吧。這種店屋建筑位于曼谷的老城區(qū)——達(dá)甸(Ta Tien)居住區(qū),這里是曼谷的老批發(fā)市場,當(dāng)?shù)厝擞兄约旱娜粘I盍?xí)慣。地域的特殊性對設(shè)計(jì)而言是一個(gè)挑戰(zhàn)。這些店屋建于曼谷王朝拉瑪五世時(shí)期,沿著馬哈拉特街成排建造,每戶店鋪在自家的折疊遮陽篷上印有自己的章紋——一艘船,以此來標(biāo)志他們的地位。店屋的底層是批發(fā)市場,二層用于倉儲,三、四層是住宅。酒店的周邊熙熙攘攘,熱鬧非常。

      酒店最具特色的地方是天臺吧,在這里可以從兩個(gè)方向鳥瞰曼谷老城。湄南河對岸是曼谷的標(biāo)志性建筑——黎明寺。酒店背后則是臥佛寺,它擁有90多座佛塔,4座禪堂以及1座中央佛殿。在天臺上觀景的最佳時(shí)段從夕陽西下開始直到天黑。在屋頂幽暗的氛圍中悠閑地靜坐,眺望老城璀璨迷人的燈光,這種感覺令人難忘。設(shè)計(jì)優(yōu)先考慮了曼谷的地域景觀,從酒店每層或每個(gè)房間望出去的景致都略有不同。

      建筑該如何取景是Onion的設(shè)計(jì)師們考慮的核心問題??腿说降旰?,只有走到接待區(qū)的盡端右轉(zhuǎn)時(shí)才能第一次看到黎明寺,這會吸引我們移步來到臨水的露臺,得以一覽湄南河的全景。在二層的餐廳,相同的景致通過覆以黑金色涂層的夾層玻璃的鏡像反射被巧妙地引入室內(nèi)。有趣的是,這種夾層玻璃部分反射,部分透明,在室內(nèi)某些特定的角度,你會看到真實(shí)景觀與鏡像景觀同時(shí)出現(xiàn)的場景。這種虛幻的視覺特效手法在餐廳旁邊的盥洗室再次上演,那里的夾層玻璃僅用來反射黎明寺的殿脊。拾級而上,樓上的每間客房都擁有一個(gè)全景視窗,客人觀景完全不會受到窗框和陽臺扶手的視覺干擾。有一個(gè)房間比較特別,它與相鄰建筑共用一個(gè)連橋,橋上可以俯瞰達(dá)甸的排屋。

      設(shè)計(jì)師考慮到將老房子的一些建筑元素和材料融入到新的設(shè)計(jì)之中。餐廳墻面的水泥表皮被剝離,露出老房子的舊磚墻;過道上還留有瓷磚剝落的痕跡,這些其實(shí)都是設(shè)計(jì)師應(yīng)客戶的需求故意而為之的。同時(shí),設(shè)計(jì)師還選擇植入一些新式材料以彰顯酒店的個(gè)性,例如:黑金色的夾層玻璃,黑白相間的瓷磚以及鋁扣板。歷史感與現(xiàn)代感在薩拉·拉塔

      Sala Rattanakosin is a renovation project of the Sala Resort and Spa. The architectural brief was to renovate seven shop houses of 1500 square meters each into a boutique hotel of 17 rooms complete with restaurants, an outdoor deck, and indoor bar and roof top bars. The shop houses are located in the Ta Tien Community in the older part of Bangkok. The special nature of the location was quite challenging. The lively and bustling Ta Tien Community has its own daily habits and is home to the original wholesale market of Bangkok. It even has its own crest, a graphic representation of a ship, emblazoned, as marks of status and community membership, on the folding sunshades of the shop houses along Maharat Road. The Sala Rattanakosin's string of listed shop houses was built in the Fifth Reign. Traditionally, the ground floor was dedicated to wholesale market trade while the first floor was used for storage and the second and third were residential.

      Sala Rattanakosin's highlight is its roof top bar from which one can observe bird's-eye views of the older parts of Bangkok in two opposite directions. Along the waterfront and across the Chao Phraya River, is the Temple of Dawn, one of the most recognizable silhouettes of Bangkok. At the opposite side shimmers Wat Po, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, a home to more than 90 pagodas, 4 halls and 1 central shrine. The best time to visit this chill roof top bar is from sunset until dark. The charm and sparkle of the old town's lighting is impressive when enjoyed from the rather dark roof top. The hotel design gives priority to the historic sceneries of Bangkok. These views are framed slightly differently on each floor and in each room of Sala Rattanakosin.

      Framing these views was central to Onion's design strategy for the hotel. On arrival, the first glance at the Temple of Dawn take places only after we make a right turn at the end of reception area.The framed image of the Temple invites us to move closer to the riverfront deck for a more panoramic view of Chao Phraya River. In the upper restaurant, the same image is "borrowed" into the interior via a black and gold film laminated glass partition. The laminated glass is partly reflective and partly transparent. The actual scenery and its mirrored images can be observed at the same time from various angles and viewpoints. This illusory effect repeats itself in the lavatories next to the restaurant.There laminated glass is designed to reflect only the upper half of the Temple of Dawn. Moving upstairs, each guest room has a full size picturesque view unobstructed by the window seals and handrails of the balcony. One room in particular shares half of a bridge with the next door building. It overlooks Ta Tien listed shop houses.

      Onion considers the initial architectural elements and materials of the buildings as the source of the new design. The cement surface of the restaurant wall removed so that the original brickwall would be revealed. Traces of fallen ceramic tiles in the hallway are indeed Onion's design. They are custom-made. Onion also chose to insert new materials into the design in order to invent Sala Rattakosin's character, materials like the dark-gold laminated glass, black and white ceramic tiles and aluminum panels.       張路峰:對于舊建筑改造與再利用項(xiàng)目,核心的設(shè)計(jì)問題是處理新與舊的關(guān)系。在這個(gè)項(xiàng)目中,建筑師猶如對待考古現(xiàn)場一般,小心地保留了原有斑駁的磚墻和磨損的地板,坦率地暴露出原有的鋼筋混凝土結(jié)構(gòu)框架,同時(shí)為適應(yīng)新的功能需求,植入了新的設(shè)計(jì)元素。改造后的建筑不但獲得了粗與細(xì)、新與舊對比并置的美學(xué)趣味,也獲得了寶貴的時(shí)光印記。

      范路:拼貼風(fēng)景與拼貼感覺

      薩拉·拉塔納科辛酒店改造項(xiàng)目位于曼谷老城區(qū)湄南河畔,欣賞河對岸的黎明寺便是首要主題。一層臨河的餐廳與平臺、框出滿墻景觀的客房、遠(yuǎn)眺全景的頂層酒吧,同樣的景觀以不同的方式滲入各個(gè)不同的空間。佛寺透過玻璃,映在玻璃表面,種種風(fēng)景并置又交織,場景亦真亦幻。黑漆表面的鋼材、刷白的表面、透明和反射玻璃、裸露的磚墻與混凝土、朦朧的鋁板、溫馨的木隔墻、模仿脫離痕跡的瓷磚,不同的材料拼貼出各種空間氛圍與時(shí)空感。最終,風(fēng)景融入感覺,拼貼出一個(gè)細(xì)膩豐富的設(shè)計(jì)。

      ZHANG Lufeng: In rehabilitation and adaptive reuse projects, the crux of the design problem is handling the relationship between old and new. In this project, the architect approaches the building as an archaeological site, carefully retaining the original brick wall and worn floors, frankly exposing the original reinforced concrete form and updating functional requirements by implanting new design elements. Through this transformation, the building gains aesthetic interest from the juxtaposition between the rough and refined, the old and new. It has also created a valuable timestamp.

      FAN Lu: Collage Scene and Sensation

      The Sala Rattanakosin is located on the waterfront of the Chao Phraya River in central Bangkok. It enjoys a view of the Temple of Dawn across river, and such views became a dominant concern of this renovation project. The historic views from the spa are organized in different ways by its different spaces: The first floor restaurant has a riverfront deck, guestrooms have large-scale framed views and the roof top bar affords a panoramic vista. The view of the Temple through the glass is reflected back by other glass surfaces blurring the boundary between reality and illusion. Various materials are used in the project: dark painted steel, white painted surfaces, transparent and reflective glass, exposed brick walls, concrete elements, brushed aluminum panels, warm wooden partitions and a cascading pattern of black and white ceramic tiles. The wide variety of building materials-like the different views-allows the different spaces of the building to each have their own particular atmosphere and time signature. The building as a whole, is an exquisite collage of scene and sensation.
