【簡析】

1.“How is sb.？”常用來詢問某人的健康狀況如何，其回答通常是：“主語 + be + fine / OK / all right / very well.”等。例如：

—How is your grandfather？

—He is fine / very well， thank you.

——你爺爺身體好嗎？

——很好， 謝謝。

2. “What is sb.？”主要用來詢問某人所從事的職業(yè)，意為“……是干什么工作的？”。例如：

—What is your father？

—He is a doctor.

——你爸爸是干什么的？

——他是個醫(yī)生。

3.“Who is sb.？”常用來詢問姓名或與某人的關系， 常意為“……是誰？”。例如：

—Who is the girl in a red coat？

—She is my sister.

——那個穿紅外套的女孩是誰？

——她是我的妹妹。

4. “Where is sb.？”常用來詢問某人在什么地方，回答時常用表示地點的介詞短語。例如：

—Where is your mother？

—She is at work.

——你母親在哪里？

——她在上班。

5.“What is sb. like？”用來詢問某人的品質、個性或外貌。例如：

—Whats your father like？

—He is a very nice man.

——你爸爸是怎樣一個人？

——他是一個很好的人。

6.“What does sb. like？” 中的like 為實義動詞，意為“喜歡”，該句型主要用來詢問某人喜歡什么。例如：

—What does he like？

—He likes to play football.

——他喜歡什么？

——他喜歡踢足球。

7.“How does sb. look？”用來詢問某人的容貌如何，有時也可用來詢問某人的情緒或精神狀態(tài)如何等。例如：

—How does she look？

—She looks very happy.

——她看上去情緒如何？

——她看上去很高興。

8.“What does sb. look like？”主要用來詢問某人外表（長相）像什么人，常譯為“……長得像……？”。例如：

—What does your sister look like？

—She looks like my mother.

——你妹妹看上去像誰？

——她看上去像我母親。

9.“What about sb.？”是用來詢問某人的近況、處境如何，所問的范圍涉及面很廣，如身體、工作、學習、生活等。例如：
