該別墅是為私人客戶設(shè)計(jì)的，位于香港島南部，俯瞰南丫海峽。作為一處住宅，摩星嶺道別墅具有優(yōu)雅、設(shè)計(jì)獨(dú)特和環(huán)境可持續(xù)的特點(diǎn)。該別墅在現(xiàn)場地形中的定位經(jīng)過仔細(xì)斟酌，旨在確保其具有最大化的事業(yè)和室外空間，同時，最大限度地降低道路噪聲。該別墅的定向設(shè)計(jì)能夠確保其環(huán)境控制系統(tǒng)獲得最大限度的太陽能優(yōu)勢。

該別墅提供420平方米的居住空間，每個房間均擁有開闊的海上視野，室外為一處花園階地、游泳池和伸向海濱的懸吊玻璃端墻的淺泳池，該泳池采用耐候鋼制造，造型富有動感。

該建筑物分兩塊布置，兩部分共享一個屋頂，其中還包括一個起居空間和一個實(shí)用空間。其設(shè)計(jì)基于三個主要平面，即垂直的石墻、水平木質(zhì)地板面和傾斜的金屬屋頂，這些要素既對建筑構(gòu)成起到控制作用，同時又表達(dá)了一種當(dāng)代的方向設(shè)計(jì)感。該別墅的設(shè)計(jì)旨在運(yùn)用最新的環(huán)境技術(shù)、屋頂太陽能收集裝置、吸收式制冷機(jī)、熱交換和回收以及煙囪效應(yīng)式通風(fēng)。

Designed for a private client and situated on the south side of Hong Kong Island overlooking the Lamma Channel, Southwest V illa is a home imbued with elegance, ingenuity and environmental sustainability. The Villa is carefully placed within the site topography to maximize views and outdoor space whilst minimizing road noise. The Villa is orientated to gain maximum solar bene f t for the environmental control system.

The Villa provides 420sqm of living space, each room has a full sea view , externally is a garden terrace, swimming pool and cantilevered glass ended lap-pool projecting seaward in a dynamic f ourish of corten steel.

The building is arranged into two blocks, contained under a single roof, a living area and a utility zone. The design is based upon three principal planes the vertical stone wall, the horizontal timber deck and the inclined metal roof, these elements both control the composition and express a contemporary oriental design sense. The Villa is designed to utilize the latest environmental technologies, roof solar collectors, absorption chiller, heat exchange and recovery and stack effect ventilation
