運(yùn)用高級(jí)詞匯，提高作文提分

詞匯反映考生知識(shí)貯存量的多少，也是衡量考生英語水平的一個(gè)重要標(biāo)志。根據(jù)多年的高考英語閱卷經(jīng)驗(yàn)，筆者認(rèn)為，在書面表達(dá)中，只要考生使用了高級(jí)詞匯，即便是一兩個(gè)，也會(huì)令閱卷老師眼睛為之一亮，從而提高作文的得分檔次。高級(jí)詞匯并不是越難越好，越長越好，主要是指那些大部分考生都想不到，但又符合英語習(xí)慣表達(dá)的詞匯。例如：

1. At weekends，we have a lot of homework to do.

高級(jí)詞匯：endless

高級(jí)表達(dá)：At weekends，we have endless homework to do.

2. At the foot of the mountain，there was a small river.

高級(jí)詞匯：there flows...

高級(jí)表達(dá)：At the foot of the mountain，there flowed a small river.

3. This is a difficult job.

高級(jí)詞匯：challenging

高級(jí)表達(dá)：This is a challenging job.

4. As a result，the plan was a failure.

高級(jí)詞匯：prove to be，turn out to be.

高級(jí)表達(dá)：The plan proved to be a failure.

The plan turned out to be a failure.

5. Because the weather was good，we had a comfortable journey.

高級(jí)詞匯：thanks to

高級(jí)表達(dá)：Thanks to the good weather，we had a comfortable journey.

6. I thought out a good idea.

高級(jí)詞匯：hit，strike，occur to

高級(jí)表達(dá)：A good idea hit / struck / occurred to me.

7. He gave up his plan because he didnt have enough money.

高級(jí)詞匯：abandon，lack of

高級(jí)表達(dá)：He abandoned his plan for lack of money.

8. Ill thank you if you think about my application.

高級(jí)詞匯：appreciate，take...into consideration

高級(jí)表達(dá)：Ill appreciate it if you take my application into consideration.
