你會用英語表示這些漢語數(shù)字嗎

我們在漢語口語中經(jīng)常用到一些含有數(shù)字的表達，比如“一兩個”“三三兩兩”等，你知道它們在英語中是如何表達的嗎？

1. 一兩個

你知道漢語的“一兩個……”用英語如何表示嗎？

方法一：用a（an）... or two 表示。如：

I？蒺d like to use the computer for an hour or two. 我想用一兩個小時的電腦。

The doctor says you？蒺ll be all right in a day or two. 醫(yī)生說你一兩天就會好。

方法二：用one or two...表示。如：

One or two people can？蒺t come. 有一兩個人不能來。

There are one or two signs worth watching for. 有一兩個值得注意的標記。

另外，英語中的 a couple of 有時也可表示“一兩個”。如：

I？蒺ll only be away for a couple of days. 我只離開一兩天。

注意，英語習慣上不用 one...or two或a or two...這樣的表達，如“一兩天”可說a day or two或one or two days，但不能說成 one day or two或a or two days。

2. 一個半

如何用英語表示“一個半”？

方法一：用a（an）... and a half表示。如：

It weighs a ton and a half. 這東西重一噸半。

I finished the examination in an hour and a half. 我在一個半小時之內(nèi)考試完畢。

方法二：用one and a half...表示。如：

She？蒺s one and a half years old now. 她現(xiàn)在一歲半。

He got married about one and a half years ago. 他大約是一年半前結的婚。

類似的，我們應該如何用英語表示“兩個半”“三個半”“四個半”呢？請看例句：

The round trip was two dollars and a half. 來回票是兩塊半美金。

This happened four and a half centuries ago. 這是四個半世紀前發(fā)生的事。

3. 三三兩兩

如何用英語表示“三三兩兩”？

方法一：用by twos and threes表示。如：

They left by twos and threes. 他們?nèi)齼蓛傻仉x開了。

The students are coming into the classroom by twos and threes. 學生們正三三兩兩地走進教室。

方法二：用in twos and threes表示。如：

People began to leave the meeting in twos and threes. 人們開始三三兩兩地離開會場。

Applications for the job are coming in slowly in twos and threes. 申請這份工作的信件三三兩兩來得很慢。

4. 另外三個

如何用英語表示“另外三個”？

方法一：用 another three 表示。如：

They drove for another three hours. 他們又行駛了三個小時。

I need another three driving lessons before my test. 考試前我還需上三節(jié)駕駛課。

方法二：用three other...表示（other后必須接名詞）。如：

He has three other dictionaries. 他還有另外三本詞典。

Three other boys ran into the trees. 另外三個男孩子跑進了樹林。

方法三：用three others表示（others后不能接名詞）。如：

Three others lay wounded. 另外三個人受傷躺在那里。

He tried， with three others， to rob a bank. 他試圖伙同另外三個人搶劫銀行。

方法四：用the other three表示（three后可接名詞也可不接名詞）。如：

One is a boy， the other three are girls. 一個是男孩，另外三個是女孩。

They took the other three away in an ambulance. 他們用救護車送走了另外三個人。

注：至于“另外四個”“另外五個”等表達，只需將 three 改為 four， five 等就可以了。

5. 每隔（一個）

如何用英語表示“每隔（一個）”？

方法一：用every other表示。如：

Write on every other line. 請隔行寫。

We meet every other Tuesday. 我們隔周星期二見面一次。

I work every other day： Monday， Wednesday and Friday. 我隔天上班：每周一、三、五。

方法二：用every two表示。every two 的本意是“每兩個”，與“每隔一個”同義。如：

You must take your medicine every two hours. 你得每兩小時（即每隔一個小時）服藥一次。

He gets home leave every two years. 他每兩年（即每隔一年）有一次探親假。
