Earlier this year, the World Health Organization(WHO) published a worryingstudy on the state of preterm births acrossthe globe. According to researchers findings,around 13 million premature babies are borneach year; 11 million of these births are inAfrica and Asia. Twelve percent of all Africannewborns fall into the “preemie” category, nearlydouble the rate recorded in Europe.
